Ironically, he does give you a mattock! Last time I went in there, it was an Eviscerator instead...

I've only ever gotten a Mattock from that room, but maybe it's random, since both weapons are found at Grissom.

Most likely, it will be a Mattock...a great gun to fire when in panic because you're shooting in random places more than you are at your target....

I suppose you get the Eviscerator if you don't pick it up before reaching that room.

Nah, I picked it up already, and I have no clue how I got an Eviscerator out of that room...

I love the Mattock, especially in ME2. But I like it in ME3 because it's fairly light for an AR.

Maybe it's random, but heavily weighted toward the Mattock.

Probably, considering Eviscerator does more damage because it's a shotgun...

And there are a few spots where you can't get to close-range with the cerberus mooks at Grissom.

Probably with Atlas and Engineer Turrets.

Hahaha! I already completed an Insanity playthrough. Went from Narrative to Insanity. Was a pain for a little while because I didn't understand the exploits of ME3 yet. I don't really care for the fighting, I care for the story, and if the combat is slowing my progression of the story mode, I get pretty pissed. I play Story for the Story, not for the combat. Combat is for Multiplayer...

Hahaha ... well, I was thinking more of accuracy than of damage, but you do have a point.

Lol... I did my insanity run. At times it was a little frustrating, but I didn't have too many problems once I figured out enemy tactics a little better. Banshees were a pain in the ass, and those damn three Geth Primes on Rannoch.
But I loved every minute of it. My engineer shep had a great time. I may up the difficulty to hardcore if the challenge just isn't there... at least for some missions. Grissom Academy was a lot of fun on insanity. Engineer really shines there by being able to sabotage enemy turrets.

I'm finding ME2 to be really easy with a sentinel shep. I think because my insanity run was so recent that I may like a bit more of a challenge when I get to ME3, but I'm with you. I play for the story, when it all comes down to it.

With the boost to shields and shield recharge, my shep is kicking ass. I tell husks to 'come at me' and let my tech armor take over. Although I just did the reaper IFF mission and I have to admit sometimes it was better to just shoot their legs off with my mattock, my Jessie ![]()

I completed my ME3 Insanity run as an Adept, Liara and I were able to blow pretty much everything to hell with biotic explosions but those Primes were certainly...problematic.

I played through it on 360 and then again later on PC. I don't think I could handle going back to a gamepad after playing through it with a mouse.

I shoot their legs with the Phalanx... I don't use assault rifles too much...but I like getting up close with my Claymore! Somtimes I pull out the Widow, but it's not as great as I thought it'd be.

How did you build your adept, if I may ask? I've been thinking about how I kinda miss biotic explosions, heh.

I don't have access to a claymore yet. I'm still in ME2
.. and I took assault rifle training on the collector ship, so that rules out sniper rifles, unfortunately. But the ME2 Mattock is an awesome gun, and I have the locust for a backup, ![]()

I just noticed that I have no SMG. Oh and I have modified Coalesce currently. Once I get into modding ME2 I will start pulling some strings in my Coalesce, but for now I'm using other's.

Ah okay cool... I never really got into modding ME2, I used gibbed to cheat a little on resources and credits, and I made the hammerhead a little sturdier, so I could try and like it a little more. But other than that, not really. And now I'm almost finished ME2 this playthrough. In the middle of the suicide mission right now.
