Well, there is Cryo blast. It's pretty useless on Sentinel besides its debuff capability. Other than that I max out every other power on the Sentinel besides Cryo Blast. Sentinel class is the only class with lift grenades.
Yeah, even with my Engineer, I only put 4 ranks into Cryo blast. It's all you really need. But... I'd max out my other powers before I put points into Cryo or grenades.

I usually max out Cryo for my Engineer and only put 4 points into Sabotage, because that's usually the best rank to go up to while the other two ranks are optional.

Cryo can be useful as heck. The other two evolution ranks are more useful than Rank 4, Rank 4 only spreads the love farther. Cryo is pretty useless on lower difficulties though.

That would be why I don't like it.... or at least, it's not a priority to upgrade. I do like the rank 6 sabotage power though, to double tech damage for 10 seconds.

Same here, although I've never seen that. Been too busy enjoying enemy turrets rip their own people to shreds.

It's more noticeable in Multiplayer where Phantoms can spawn next to Atlases.

Well, ME is pretty simple on gamepad...your only limitation is how many powers you can have assigned to buttons...and for ME3, you can't move the camera when storming.

It's not just the ME games I'm talking about though. I've been a keyboard+mouse gamer for so long that any controller game is my nemesis.

Anyway, I don't particularly like the XBox controller (the standard issue one anyway, don't know about the third-party stuff), though it would be an OK compromise to enable my controller dependency if I ever moved on to PC gaming. Not sure if the DA games are compatible though, so that could give me a moment of pause.

Getting a PC strictly for gaming is too expensive for me, especially when I typically just use my laptop for everyday stuff, and no way would I stuff Windows on a 7 year old MBP. Alas, consoles kill me with convenience.
