Basically, I charged a rampard mech that was close to both container and the field. The container managed to push me out of the field, and Aria and Nyreen kept doing their thing without giving a ****.

That's true, but I dunno, there are some wildly insane things that go on with that Mako, it's hard to imagine them not feel miserable after a ride or two, atleast in my playthrough

I picture the squad drawing straws to decide who has to go planetside before each mission, and every time Wrex picks the short straw, he just passes it to someone else, and no one protests.

I think running away from Seeker Swarms and killing a Corrupted Saren is enough experience to feel miserable enough.

I'm one of the few that actually liked the mako 
I took Wrex and Garrus on nearly every mission, it must have been a little crowded in there. I also tended to jump a lot and climb mountains at 90 degree. Reminded me of this picture:
