I was thinking about how awesome it would be to shape-shift into a dragon when I suddenly thought it would also be pretty useful to be able to change into horses and other mountable animals. It would certainly make the shape-shifting specialization more useful and you wouldn't have to spend money buying a mount. So do you think this will be in the game? Do you want it to be in the game?
Personally I doubt it will be in the game but I'd like it a lot if it was.
If I could shape-shift into a horse, and someone was to ride me, It'd really feel weird for me. For some reason, I think that's what I'd feel.

Okay when I said shape-shifting into mounts I meant being able to turn into an animal which is mountable in the world to go faster than usual, not actually being "mounted". I agree that would be a bit weird.

Aaaaaah, I see. I thought you want our character to be mounted by our companions. Well, on that case, I vote for a bronto shape-shift ability

it would be so awesome if you could change into a wolf, however if bioware introduced this feature it would probably be restricted to mages.

It'd be fine if we weren't all a little too close to our inner 12 year old. 
But if Flemeth didn't just turn into a dragon and let the Hawkes and Aveline ride her to Gwaren, I can't imagine how they'd justify us turning into pack animals or mounts in story terms.

Anyway yeah I think it's a great idea! Having a useful shapeshifting ability AND outside of combat... Maybe at low levels you can start off as a really useless animal like a turtle and work your way up to horse.

I don't think shapeshifting into a deer would be a good idea. Remember that dialogue from DAO?

BTW, I think WoW made a mistake by allowing Druids to shape shift (with a glyph anyway), into a rideable mount that other players can ride. Plus, that mount is ... the Stag.

I don't know, no matter what I turn into carrying the Iron bull around on my back would probably hurt like heck.
Sure, as long as I can carry my companions around. It'd be a better solution than having them run after me the whole time.
