I've played the grame through to the end already, so I've gone through the section I'm about to describe before without problems. 

I'm running through the Mages Circle arc, Ive done everything and I fight the sloth demon. 
Upon defeating him, I get the conversation with Nial (or whatever his name is) about the Littany.

When conversation concludes you go right to the load screen to come out of the fade.
The game freezes while loading this.

I reboot, reload save... same effect.
I reboot, load on older save... same effect.
I reboot, load an even older save... play through to the same spot... same effect. 

Now, I'm pretty well frustrated because that's all the saves I have on this character.  None of them are giving me the corrupt save message. 

In the off chance that certain dialogue options were bugged, I have chosen alternate dialogue just to see if I could progress. 

Also, My game is loaded to the Xbox Hard Drive.  This last time, I played from the CD instead of the hard drive.  Same effect. 

I'm quite certain this is a bug related to the recent patch.  Any idea when it will be fixed?  Is anyone else having this problem?
