That leaves the question of what was considered armor within the historical sources.
 
Or otherwise, if they really didn't wear anything in the form of body armor and actually were a historical fact rather than just legend, that leaves the question whether them having been reduced to little more than myth would have had something to do with them not wearing any sort of body armor ...

I'm sure it's an idealized image. I posted the breast cancer survivor's photo because it reflected a sense of empowerment and moving forward. I don't know if the stories about the one breasted women archers are true or myth. And, I don't approve of fighting in lingerie armor.  Her costume was meant to be symbolic only. The issue addressed in the previous photo is healing and strength after a very real confrontation with a possible death due to cancer.

That reminds me of the zinger my mother once let loose when she was talking with a friend about an acquaintence's wedding dress ... "that dress is like water" -> "TRANSPARENT!?!?" -> "no, tasteless".

I'm trying to stay motived about my weight loss efforts.  Although I doubt I'll be able to wear this either, this spring... Nothing like shopping for a swimsuit to get you focused on your body.
