Not a big surprise, water is water and those balloons were filled with enough water that it would equate around half a meter of water (for the four balloons from the looks of it) if shot through at a straight line, the guy got distracted by it being filled in portions in balloons rather than making the mental calculation of how much water that actually is.
That's it I am inventing a water filled balloon bullet proof vest.
I can see it, soldiers walking around with little children pools strapped around them. ![]()
The problem would be, whilst water simply being dense is enough for pistol rounds (typically having big bullets flying with slower velocity), if you want to stop full powered rifle bullets (smaller bullets flying with very high velocity), you don't just need water depth to stop it, you also need water volume to absorb the energy, or else the bullet might just push the water away whilst losing relatively little energy. Especially for full metal jacket bullets that are the military standard, which won't deform as readily as what looked like a soft hollow point bullet in the clip, meaning it will keep it's aerodynamic shape much better that whilst not exactly aquadynamic, will cause significanly less friction and thus energy bleed.
Having written that, I just realized I am way too knowledgeable about firearms ... I blame Discovery Channel for making me a semi-gun-nut (pun intended).
Alright, for something less martial:

Imagine a male UMC fighter doing this to a female reporter.
Where is your gender equality now, huh?
Probably same reaction, if the reporter was clearly asking for it like this guy was. qq

I'm quite sure that owning a tank is the ultimate dream for every frustrated driver. No more people cutting the line, no one ignoring right of way ... and if they do, just drive over them.
Only problem is they are so incredibly fuel inefficient ...

These are funny, if a bit sadistic..
and if I were married, they might be grounds for divorce.
