Gif is accurate. As someone who's had the bad luck of a runaway/lost cat turn into the fortune of finding him again a couple months later (cat has been skulking around town for the whole time it appears, I saw him on the way back from school walking in a garage, called my parents, stayed until they arrived, asked the home's owner if that was his cat by any chance, then sacked him on our travel box, got to a vet and had him checked for a chip and turns out, yup, that was our Merlin), the emotion is very, VERY real.
Even now, close to a decade later (cat's still comfortably napping on freshly dried clothes btw, that one's got the idea he's immortal or something), thinking back to this brings up emotions and I'm not exactly a very emotional guy to start with. That's not a pet having been found, that's a family member thought for dead coming back.

Of course it is! Discriminating against something one can't change is totally cool, but commenting on something that is most likely simply a result of one's lifestyle is outrageous.
