Oh dear, this brings up memories from my own time playing basketball (yes, we totally had this happen once, but he scored and guess by how close we lost the game in the end ...). Mind you, I'm not talking kids league, I/we were playing in the 16+ age league (and were quite successfull ... despite I could say), but we seriously had this happen. Plus that one time that guy thought it would be fun to repeatedly jump at the wall ... and left the court in am abulance with a broken arm. Yup, he jumped at the wall for lulz and managed to break his arm. No other influence, no one touched him, he just jumped at the wall and broke his arm.
I have successfully managed not to think about it too much, because I have the suspicion my brain might spontanously combust if I ever tried to understand.
