Well at least we finally have a name for the Elven mage. It's about time. 

 

He and Iron Bull were practically confirmed anyway. What really interests me are the two or so companions we know practically nothing about (one if Cullen is a companion after all). I'd image we have at least one more female companion after Cassandra, Vivienne and the Elven rogue, who we have no idea about at all at this stage, and it is this one that interests me the most at the moment. The others are fairly predictable.

The Bearded Warden looks like a mature, grizzled male. This is new. There should be more mature looking grizzled men as companions. I hope he gets confirmed.

Vivienne - female human mage (officially confirmed)

That leaves two spots left.  Who gets them?!?  So exciting!

I know that Bioware is cheeky enough to reveal Cassandra and Varric next, but I would much rather be surprised.  We know all about Varric and Cassandra already.  Save them for later and give us the good stuff already!

They have already said that the April follower will not be Cassandra or Varric. It will probably be Solas or Iron Bull since that is what the German magazine is going to reveal on Wednesday.

I'm not too excited about Solas or Iron Bull, but I'm sure they'll be great and I'm happy for the people who were anxious for their reveal/confirmation.

 

Personally, I just want to know more about Sera.  Something tells me I will love her.

I'd say YES for Iron bull. I feel he is going to be my buddy, my bro. For the bald elfe,I hope he just got out of prison in the screenshot and he had little time to change clothes.    I hope this is not his taste in fashion, so I can give him some dignity thanks to customization. The poor elf. 

 

Looks like he is wearing a pajama or underwear lol. ( BUT he.. he.. he... is WEARING SHOES ! thanks the maker ! ) Not really thrilled by his design for the moment but he can be someone with a great personality !!!!

 

Also a dreamer ? I'll wait confirmation because those people are really really powerful according to the lore. But that would be very interesting.

Updating the followers speculation with a better picture of Solas

So we have 3 warriors so far then,
Cassandra, Warden, and Iron Bull.

We have 2 mages,
Vivienne and Solas

We have 2 rogues,
Sera and Varric

 

So far that's 3 humans (2 ladies, 1 man), 2 elves (1 lady, 1 man), 1 qunari and 1 dwarf.

It's likely that Iron Bull is a rogue. My guess is that we have at least one more male human warrior coming up (Cullen or Mustachio) as companion number 8 (and possibly as number 9, too).

 

Romanceable: Cass, Cullen, Sera, Solas. Maybe two more humans (Vivienne+ mustachio or warden) if the Cass/Cullen romances are restricted or just flirts.

You cannot claim that lol. We just don't know it yet, he is wearing something like a robe and wields something that really looks like a staff. IF he is in the game as companion, he is most likely a mage. There is no rule saying there will be 2 mages.

9 companions. 3 warriors almost confirmed. How does three warrior not "disbalance" the party? with 6 remaining there is very high chance 3 will be rogue and 3 will be mage given DA2's record that if everyone was alive and in party we have 3 of each class. Not to mention there might be 10th companion as DLC.

You assume too much. its not confirmed that we will have 4 LI's only. Considering DA2 has one more male Li than female (Sebastian)

Considering that the bearded Warden and the guy that looks similar to Cullen haven't had information released about them yet, it's a little too soon to speak in absolutes.
