I've never done it but if you back him up rather than the Enchanter are the mages slaughtered, from old women to little children? The man is a monster.

While we, they player, will know what he did (and did not) do, the real question is: would the Inquisitor know?  And for that matter: even care?

 

That Cullen was at Kirkwall at the time of the Annullment is something the Inquisitor should be able to find out.  And mine would care.

 

Also, I don't really think it's a good idea to create character/player disconnects.  If Cullen's actions during previous games can't be addressed in character, that would be annoying.

The person refers to something Cullen did, not something he said.
Regardless, while I completely disagree with Annulling the Circle at that point, You should consider than Cullen was up to a few hours before tortured for weeks. He wasn't in a good state of mind.

Eh, they can schedule posts ahead of time. And it's not that early - it's almost 8 am in Edmonton. Most people start their days at 6 or 7.

Varric doesn't care one way or the other.

They said we weren't going to be forced to play Pro-Chantry/Circle/Templar but we are being surrounded by characters who are. We need some balance in the game and I don't just mean characters like Varric who don't care about the mage issue or Fenris who hate all mages whether they are part of the Circle or not, but someone who is on the side of free mages.

1/3 of the party isn't being surrounded. The other two mages have likely a pro-mage stance, and if Cole is a companion, he'll be anti-templar.
And I doubt that Cullen will be featured this week regardless if he's a Follower or not.
By the way, if Cullen left the Chantry is stance would be different from the Chantry.

Same. Actually I don't mind waiting, but it would've been nice if at least one dev (via here or twitter) could've verified there'd be/not be an announcement today due to the holiday. They haven't said anything or answered anyone's inquiries about the holiday. I don't see why not and I don't see how it's so hard to give a yes or no.
Edit: they've had more than enough time to tell fans it is postponed (if it is). Otherwise we're all waiting around and it could very well be cancelled.

They never stated that that the third Friday of the month it's FF day. That's just our speculation. They just said that they'll do the FF near the end of the month. It's entirely possible that the FF was scheduled from the start to be the next Friday.
I don't see why they should state if today it'll be FF, since they never said that there'll be an exact date.

I'm curious as to whether they'll be using this thread to make the announcement or a whole new one; I'd assume the latter.

 

Part of me wonders(and has wondered since the original announcement) whether or not they'll even follow through with the concept. I know Blizzard did this thing where they'd have promotional info dumps leading into a new expansion for wow but would never finish them completely, some being dropped fairly early on.

All official companions, even if we don't know their standing. Thus, 2/6 = 1/3 still. If Cullen were announced today, it would be 3/6 = 1/2. Hardly surrounded.

The Iron Bull was confirmed in magazines and PAX East, Sera was confirmed in magazines, and Solas was given the limelight in a magazine article. If you mean, have the Dev's come forward and said, "Yes, this is a companion", the only one you could argue that for is the Iron Bull, because of PAX East.
