Nope, they didn't say that they'd reveal info the following Friday. They said they'd reveal info the following week, as the did with Vivienne, and if they'll go that route with April 25th as the FF two of three updated will be on April, but they could very well change the week schedule.
There's one 'Friday' that they talked about, and it's the FF, which could very well be the next one.

 

Yeah, this.  they can definitely do this next week and have it still fit their announcement.  I think people took the fact that it happened on the third Friday last time as being meaningful.  I also don't think that them not responding to tweets on their day off is rude.  When I'm off, I don't do anything related to my job if I can help it.

Again, the fact that the FF would always happen the third Friday is just our speculation. The fact that it happened for Vivienne doesn't mean that it'd happen everytime, and they have no obligation to tell is when it'll happen. It's not their fault if some people believed it was sure due to misunderstanding what they said.

Very good suggestion. Unfortunately that's too organized, efficient, and fair to the fans for the Bioware staff. They shouldn't have even bothered with "follower Friday" if they can't actually commit to any deadline.

The deadline for the announcement is the next Friday, not this .

It'd have definitely be better, but I've no probem with this. Since they announced the FF i thought it'd happen either the third or the foruth Friday; I thought today was the day, but I didn't think it was surely today, because there was no proof.

Not really. They could skip next Friday if they wanted to. See what I'm saying? And they aren't revealing all companions, I guess some months will be skipped. So in other words they are not setting any deadlines which is obnoxious.

They said that there'll be a companion in April, so they set a deadline.
The fact that there won't be a FF every months is irrelevant for now. They could say in the April FF if they skip in May.

I just thought. Last month they revealed the companion on friday and then their was information the next week on monday, wednesday and friday. So if they continue this pattern it would mean, that the last information would come in may..

I don't think they'll skip, I think it's that the game will be out before the amount of followers-to-month is up.

I go out for a walk and get covered in horse/cow poop and I've got puss coming out of my infected earring hole. 

Those are two of the main highlights of my amazing day!

I'd been looking forward to today's FF for ages.. I even had it marked on the calender..
