Seriously guys, let's not annoy the devs with tweets.  They're awful nice communicating with us peasant fans as is.  It's a little presumptuous to expect some poor sod to upload FF stuff on Good Friday.

See but this is the problem. You "think" they did, or you *know* they did and you have a reference/link and can publicly post it up for everyone in order to rectify the confusion? Because that, my friend, would be awesome. Unfortunately I don't believe I've read a single, solid detail about the structure of Follower Fridays. Just that it is vaguely at the end of the month, give or take, maybe. And that the follower is announced on a Friday but details are given on other vague days like M, W, or the following Friday - which is not a "follower" Friday, but just the Friday that follows the Follower Friday which could actually land sometime in the following month.

See the ridiculousness?

The sanctity of Good Friday didn't stop them from tweeting about tees. (And continuing to interact with fans asking about said tees/prices/vendors.) And I find it curious that they refused to say it was not a follower Friday until *after* the marketed tee tweet. Hmmm....

Edit: in fact now it makes sense that they don't give fans a FF schedule. They want more hits to their pages and social networking sites (to sell crap) - so they leave it vague.

You do realize that it is entirely possible that the person who tweeted the t-shirts is not the same person who is responsible for Follower Friday, right?  And you do also realize that one person could be working and another person not working on the same day, right?  Maybe the guy who does Follower Friday was off yesterday.  And, maybe he wasn't, but given that he never said that April 18th was the next Follower Friday, he was under no obligation to post anything.

Your mistake is that you got your hopes up because you assumed (incorrectly) that because it was the third Friday last month, it would be so this month as well.  Could they have released a schedule?  Sure, of course they could have.  But are they under any obligation to do so?  No, of course not.  You made assumptions and disappointed yourself.  I'm disappointed as well, but I don't think it's fair to throw insults and accusations at the devs for not implementing an optional marketing strategy the way that you wanted them to.

OH untangle your underpants.

I didn't assume a thing. I came on the forums and posted a thread asking people when the next Follower Friday was. People responded saying it would be yesterday. I went to another thread and asked the same question - people responded saying it would be yesterday. I tweeted TWO devs (way earlier in the week) and received absolutely no response. And the whole reason I was trying to find out was as a favor for a friend who runs an online dragon age fan group. It's not like I was just running around trying to be a jackass and bother the poor defenseless devs, whilst in the same breath reaching unfathomable conclusions about the date of follower Friday. I'm just very annoyed at the poor communication around here. Isn't that justified? I mean come on.

And for the record: I didn't even KNOW when/how Vivienne's follower info was released because I wasn't even paying attention at that time. And I'm not about to go scouring the internet for when/how/what time it was released. I just asked and everyone gave me the unanimous answer: April 18th.

So SUE me for being a little annoyed, and for having the AUDACITY to *gasp* ask a dev a question. I - and the rest of you - are only the people willing to give them all our money...

My, how entitled you are.  Do you pay the salaries of the devs?   No?  Then stop demanding things of them.

And what I was reffering to something in the Twitter thread that was from Twitter itself (something which I am not on, btw).  Good luck with that!

And read your own post.  As you YOURSELF stated, Follower Friday is towards the end of the month.  The 18th is the MIDDLE of the month.  On Follower Friday, a screenshot is posted for us.  Over the next week, more info about that Follower is released.  For Vivienne, some info was released on Monday, Wednesday, and the following Friday.  Who's to say that this month will be the screenshot come friday, More info on Monday, some more on Thursday, and that's it until May?

Oh would everyone stop throwing around the word "entitled"? I asked numerous times on BSN when they would announce a new follower and numerous times I was told the 18th. And how vague is "toward the end of the month"? It's not exactly at the end of the month and not exactly the middle, and definitely not in the beginning. Oh but I'm being "entitled" by wanting a bit of clarification.

There's a difference between having standards and being overly self-entitled. Stop confusing the two.

Did a dev actually tell you the 18th though? I mean just because you asked around here does not guarantee an accurate answer (which I'm sure you already know, but it needs saying regardless). I think where everybody is getting upset is that the way the situation is being treated it's as if the devs are somehow responsible for our disappointment. Which they kind of are, but ultimately THEY never said it was the 18th and that's all that matters. I'm sorry you were given bad information, but for your friend maybe wait until the information is actually announced. They give the fan sites a couple of days to get the major pieces (beyond the reveal itself) so idk expect them (or don't it might actually be better if we think of these things as surprises, again idk) somewhere towards the end of the month.

I've already turned to blood magic rituals in the hopes it will increase the chances of Cullen being a companion.

Failing that, I fear making a deal with a demon is the next logical step. :(

David's initial post in this thread says:

"Follower Friday will happen toward the end of each month."

Just be patient...

He is a companion. The devs never said they were going with NPC romances. It's the fans that grabbed that theory and ran with it. If the devs think it's funny and choose to let that ball ride, more fan tears for them. The sweet, sweet tears of Cullen fans. I'm sure the devs are sitting back thinking, "Where did this NPC romance idea come from, anyway?"

No, you're being "entitled" because you won't stop banging on about it after the fact and keep using dismissive and, frankly, somewhat rude language about the devs.  Two days ago when you wrote that you were embarrassed that you had gotten worked up about it, that's an example of not being entitled.  The next morning when you started complaining....again....that's an example of being entitled.  Just let it die.  You'll get your information on Friday and now we all know that there's not a pattern as to which Friday they are releasing the information.  It's really not that big of a deal.

Yeah...I never played any of the Mass Effect games, but listening to other people, it sounds like Bioware has done non-follower romances before? And the only person who has "confirmed" that Cullen is a companion is Greg Ellis, who then clarified that he had not realized what a fan had meant by "companion."

Always worth fact-checking, as in a community as enthusiastic as the DA one, information--correct or not--spreads quite quickly and tends to persist for a while. (I'm still surprised at how many people I see saying, "We know NOTHING about the Keep!" It's not too hard to do a little digging from reliable sources  ;) )
