Considering the massive information dump we've had this week I'd be hard pressed to blame Bioware if they skipped Follower Friday's this time.

Because it keeps people interested and coming back to the website for more info.  Game companies do that all the time.  Start certain initiatives that reveal details about the game and promise more details to come but then never actually finish them out.  People are pissed before the game comes out but as long as the game is good nobody remembers/cares that the marketing strategy infuriated them.

Well, it's possible something like this happened that we don't know about:

 

1.  Person A in the PR department is designated to do Follower Fridays.

2.  Person A also has other work they need to be doing.

3.  Person B who works in Person A's department decides to go-ahead the Game Reveal for Tuesday (why Tuesday?)

4.  Game Reveal caused a massive avalanche of requests, questions, bugs, things crashing, complaints, etc. etc. etc.

5.  Person A was required to pitch in to help Person B with the fallout.

6.  Person A too busy to do Follower Friday.

 

Or not.  But it's possible.

Assuming it even happens, it's probably going to be a character we already know a bit about, like Iron Bull or Solas.

 

I'd be really shocked (pleasantly of course) if it was someone who we don't really know anything about; Beardy McGrizztaint, Mustachio or Sera.

 

I think the Cynic in me would enjoy it if the reveal today was Cassandra, someone we know pretty much everything about.

I will say that they did kind of blow a load of information at us this week.  We have seen our companions we just don't know the names of all of them.
