So Follower Friday was changed into "Trailer Reveal Tuesday" instead?
Well thanks for letting me know that BW....
I wouldn't have wasted half my Friday waiting for non-existent information.
And if we get a picture of the companion one day, and then info on the following weeks, does that mean next week we're going to get write-ups on ALL the companions/characters shown in the trailer?

I assume they've scrapped the Follower Friday thing, because for whatever reason it doesn't fit in with whatever they have going on. Thing is, someone should make an executive decision and announce that it's scrapped.
I think they need to change the title of this thread to "FOLLOWER FRIDAY"
using a plural when it's a singular event....bad grammar BW....Bad grammar.

Still too broad.
"That One Friday We Announced A Guy." That works.
They had to foresee that releasing a shot of all the companions in the trailer would just make everyone even more excited about Follower Friday.
So hopefully they still do it, otherwise they should officially state by now that they aren't.
BioWare posted a new picture on their Facebook page.
So, in other words, your social media specialist manages to post an irrelevant image today and then stays hush on whether or not Follower Fridays still exists. Wonderful.
That post was just Gaider being Gaider, tbh. There are very few things that he gives committed definitive answers too, which is really smart in his position, because it keeps him from the fan backlash that comes with saying something wrong. This gives wiggle room, and I applaud him for it.
I'll remain hopeful for a 'this is your companion yay' announcement, but it's not going to ruin my day or love of Bioware if we don't get anything. He's right, we did get a metric butt-ton of new info this week. The trailer alone basically revealed all of our followers at once, you just gotta guess which ones are the ones following us.

Yeah but you're missing the point.
Bioware set up this thread.
Bioware advertised "Follower Fridays".
Bioware stated there would be a Follower Friday for April in this very thread.
Releasing new information is irrelevant. It is completely forgivable that releasing new info trumps the announcement of a Follower Friday.
It is not very considerate/smart/good business ethics to completely alienate your audience and not inform them that Follower Friday wasn't happening.
They set this up - there is no way they couldn't have foreseen fans flocking to social media to await follower announcement. Sure no one is putting a gun to our heads, but still - rude. They can skip all they want. But they should tell people that they are skipping ahead of time. It takes a few minutes - tops.
Oh yeah, I totally agree with you there. I think that at least for PR, they should have said at some point (and preferably ahead of time) that Follower Friday is cancelled this week because of whatever it is, either them being busy or the information they released.
I'm just saying that, well, it's still early-ish for most of us in the US (somewhere between 12pm and 4pm if I'm not mistake) so Friday is far from over. It could still happen, I just think the freaking out is premature. That's why I figured Gaider's dismissive answer meant that it could still happen, but just in case it doesn't, he's free and clear. It's pretty much the smartest way of diffusing the masses without straight up telling them to chill and they'll get what they'll get and like it.

Yeah, but they already said it would happen. In this thread. At the very beginning. If it's not happening, wouldn't it make sense that Bioware would know by now? It's nearing 2pm in Edmonton. Doesn't make sense that people are told "this is when it is happening" and then made to wait to "find out if it is happening or not" up until the last crucial minute. In fact, that's really lousy client relations. lol
Like my ex you lied to me.
Where is my follower?
Biowaer.
Biowaer plz!

But in all seriousness I do hope we get something today...

Nah, when you factor in that the game isn't finished being created, and the fact that now they've actually committed to a date for it to be released, their work days are like busier rather than more relaxed. You don't even know if the release of the date was because they know for sure the game will be ready by then, or if it's EA forcing the issues for PR reasons. And after a flux of stuff being released this week, it's likely very low on the priority. Nothing about the game itself changes depending on this thread, and while this is a public forum, it's nothing to the scope that releasing information for a convention, magazine, tv, ect. is. So it's not the biggest thing.
The way things are presenting, it just seems to be like they have the intention of putting it out there, but they have other things to do before they can commit to doing it. The fact that everyone is getting angry isn't going to help anything, and if anything, it's going to make them think twice about ever doing something like this. It comes off more like nothing is enough for the fans. Yes, they made a commitment, but this commitment is more a treat than a requirement.
Q: "Will we be getting a follower friday today? Pretty please...with sugar on top and a cherry!?"
David Hulegaard @HulegaardBooks 3m
ha! Not today, but there are more coming for sure. I'm working on it as we speak.
