Not remotely comparable and you know that.

Maker's Undies, now I'm getting really tired of the continuous debate as well... I mean, the trailer was awesome and I pre-ordered the game already, together with all my friends who also play Dragon Age...
I also think I'll stop checking this post, because seriously, the whining gets on my nerves. The devs have a tight schedule already, with the release only a rough six months away, so cut the poor people some slack! I also don't care who disagrees with me or who think's I'm missing the point. I got the point the first time, *#?!* Okay, so they didn't tell us they were skipping follower fridays this month, we get it! Repeating it over and over like a damn vinyl with a scratch won't help. So just calm the blazes down and wait... The devs are humans too and inbetween their work (which is bound to be a hugely stressful thing) and pampering to the BSN's wishes, I bet they also have normal lives that must be acknowledged.
I personally am content to wait until such a time when Bioware deems fit to release new information. Now could we maybe talk about something else for a change. This little whine-fest has dragged on for days now and it's getting stale... I almost miss the Cullen-nites gushing over their favourite Templar and everything (can't believe I wrote that *shudder*) That being said, I'll now watch the trailer another bazillion times and drool all over Varric. See ya *wave*
*rant out*
Sincerely, Carrionfowl

I would say it's totally comparable, if you change the tense to read: "you're going to give me a new [game] for [release date]"
There's a ton of stuff going on with the DA:I team at BioWare right now, "Follower Friday" is a side project of just one EA staffer, and if we look at it a certain way, we got LOTS of follower reveals this month anyway... ("We are the Inquisition!") ![]()

They're not really "giving" you the game, though, are they? You have to pay for it.
People want to know more about the product before they purchase it. I think that's fair enough, and I'm not even particularly invested in Follower Friday.

You already have everything you need to know about the game (except the minimum hardware/software specs and actual reviews of the finished product) to make your purchase decision. Monthly follower reveals won't change anybody's mind either way. No one says, "Ooooooh! I wasn't going to buy it, but now that I've read Iron Bull's mini-bio I'm totally pre-ordering."
At best they amp-up the interest amongst the already committed, (which is the intention) and which the "Release Date Announcement with Extended Trailer" did just fine, thank you.
And no, of course they aren't "giving" you the game. That was a simile, likening the eventual availability of the game to the anticipation of a (long-)expected and (highly-)desired "something" such a car-as-Christmas-present, and about which some people are complaining that they aren't getting the metaphorical equivalent of a fancy reminder card every month leading up to its delivery.
<Sheesh!>

I'm so excited that I can't wait. But I hope the game won't be all too long thou... And I hope for great stories too every class character, because I guessing it will be different for each one of them... just a guess. ![]()

Already pre-ordered DD, but may have to upgrade to the Uber edition
....Have to see what's in it first though. ![]()
Thanks BioWare
for the awesome job y'all do at keeping me and my family utterly hook on your games.
We have them all, some 4x and counting as the kids come of age. Upgraded all our PCs too.
Loved the ginormous Info Hammer you drop on us, and would have said so sooner, but I spent the week geeking out over it all.
Letting me drool over not only the entire line-up of companions(which look amazing) but also some of the major NPC?
Did someone tell you it was my Birthday last week?
So much better than a single character screen shot and short bio blurb
Still looking forward to future Follower Fridays though

The way I see it, instead of giving us 1 companion they gave us a dozen.

We already know what most of them looked like lol
They teased us on a few, which is good.

Calm, calm, people. Instead of one specific character, they gave us a whole load of characters! For a Follower Friday. You should be grateful. ![]()

There's only 9 companions in Inquisition. Cullen, Leliana, and Scribbles are NPC advisers.

While that's probably correct, has it been confirmed by the devs?

Other than in the old site, i think they (or the new site) stated it somewhere. While that's probably correct, has it been confirmed by the devs?
Leliana was confirmed as the leader of the Inquisition's assassins and spies division.

I'm pretty sure they confirmed Leliana as an NPC adviser, but Cullen and Scribbles haven't been confirmed as NPC advisers

The site used to say there would be 9 companions. An article confirmed there would be three advisory positions, but they only confirmed Leliana to be one of them.

The advisors.
Well, Leliana was confirmed to be the head of the espionage part which leaves military and poltical/commerce. We know Cullen is in the game and not as a companion, and it wouldn't make much sense to put him in charge of the financial/political part so he is with the military part. That leaves politics and economy up to Scribbles.

damn i really do not like Cullen and Leliana for many reasons from DAO and i very sure that i do not want them expecially Cullen(i think that this is a joke) as my or anyone advisors for any stuff in Thedas exept only i would wanted them as advisors for my enemy's and i know that they are the worst advisors ever
as for "Scribbles" i am sure that this is Isabella and if this is really her i do not want her too as if it was Zevran)))
i hope that we will have advisors and companions and Inquisition soldiers according to our decisions and choosing factions...if i choose mages i do not want to have Templars/Seekers and Orlais Chantry members by my side...and those with Grey Wardens, dalish, dwarfs, Tal-Vashoth and all other groups what we would have

Cullen is in. The VA has talked about it and Bioware even confirmed him as a love interest.
I can tell you now Scribbles is not Isabela.
I think what you see is what you get. Besides, the whole "Whoever we were before, we are now the Inquisition" line pretty much shows that their old allegiances are pretty much dropped.

i know that he would be advisor or companion and hope that he as others would be with Inquisitor if we only choose some factions because i do not like them as forced peoples for my Inquisitor who will do all what they will never never would like...and i would very very like if Cullen would be a gay romance for only human non-mage Inquisior who sided with Templars, Orlais and Orlais Chantry)))
why? do you have some info about her?
they tell us that if we support mages we would be enemys of Templars and if support Dalish would be enemys of Orlais so i am not sure that we would not have all peoples of what we see in Trailer and i am very like that...especially i hope that we could have send them away and kill if they are not worthy..at least some of them kill

Besides it making no sense why Isabela would be the adviser for commerce and politics, she could be a Qunari prisoner for some players.
