What happened to Anora if Hardened/Unhardened Alistair was put on the throne and they didn't agree to marry?

 

Was she sent into exile or did Eamon/Hardened Alistair order her execution? Did she eventually relinquish her claim and settled for being Teryna of Gwaren (Assuming that the Warden didn't take the position)? Did she die during the Battle for Denerem or escape and flee Ferelden?

 

She kind of disappears after Alistair orders her to be imprisoned in a tower and is never mentioned or heard from again, so I was just curious.

There is no official word on what happened to her, unfortunately.  I always pictured her being locked in the Tower for life or executed by King Alistair for most of my play sessions.

I made her and Alistair marry in all my play thru`s except  my HN play thru when i became Queen .

My guess is that if BioWare's cannon talks about her, she's probably not around.  I think they made Alistair a sole ruler in their cannon, but I'm not 100% sure.

I don't know about that. We're going to Ferelden. We know that Alistair won't be appearing. And Anora never dies onscreen in DAO.

No, he said he hadn't heard anything yet, unless you're talking about something else. Gaider confirmed that it's till early for VAs to be contacted and to not make any assumptions based on that.

Fair enough. But I think the writers will retcon the Ferelden monarch to forgo accounting for the multiple possible outcomes.

I don't think so, Alistair as King has been pretty consistent and I, personally, expect to see him in the future. Also since we'll probably need the help of leaders.

It's only been in the last couple of weeks that I noticed more talk about voice actors/voice direction in the Twitter thread.  No sign if Alistair is or isn't going to show up again.  So nothing confirmed.   I do think it's a good chance that he'll show up for at least a few minutes.  How?  Not sure yet.  They don't have to make him King; a returning Grey Warden Alistair might work as well.

 

I have no idea how they would add in an Alistair that was drunk in DA2 though.

I just hope if there's a couple different options/cameos for him, that he doesn't look drastically different in each because in DA2 he did and it was so annoying.

I don't envy the DA team sometimes.  I think deciding on what, if anything, to do with Alistair is one of those times.
