Oh please no not him, I hate Bann/Arl/Ambassador to Orlais, w/e he is Teagan.. Mr lets refuse to unify behind Loghain even though all the wardens are suspected dead and lets make assumptions and conclusions on something when I wasnt even there..not that guy =P

I think Fergus Cousland needs more screen time, he is one of the most powerful nobles in Ferelden and survives origins regardless of which origin you play. Fergus Cousland - Ambassador of Ferelden to the Inquisition.. Has a nice ring to it =D

Ooh, good point.  I have wondered about Fergus before.  Thanks for reminding me.  :)

Oh heck yes I want to see Fergus again!  Or at least hear of him.  Big bro was a pretty cool even if he was entirely absent and useless while pup Cousland saved the world.  A fact I like to think my Warden would remind him of as often as possible.

OT, Anora.  Mm.  I married her to Alistair, haha.  It was the price he paid for taking a passenger seat for the entirety of the game.  She's his problem, though I'm definitely interested in knowing if they stayed together or what.  From what I remember in my ending they actually ruled well together in the following years.

Not if my Cousland Queen was allowed any say in it.

My guess is that if BioWare's cannon talks about her, she's probably not around.  I think they made Alistair a sole ruler in their cannon, but I'm not 100% sure.

Don't forget about a Star Wars reference.  She needs those.

I think the so called "canon" Warden is the Dalish Martyr. In which case, she made Alistair and Anora joint rulers, let Loghain live, and killed herself.

I don't think the canon made them joint rulers. All the twitter line said was "Alistair king". But it's vague, so I guess it's possible.

I'm only assuming from the "Martyr" choice in DA2. It could be that their Dalish canon is another adjustment where only Alistair is king. In the Martyr though, Alistair and Anora both rule.

Yeah, I was assuming they didn't just take the default ending from before. I assumed only Alistair, because they specifically mentioned him and didn't mention Anora. I don't know, though. The answer was really vague, so it could be either.

Yes! Screw over people who made her and Alistair rulers and where the game even states they are doing a good job rebuilding the country. -_-

"Aren't you a little short to be a guard?"--Anora

"Aren't you a little short to be a stormtrooper?"--Leia in A New Hope.

I never gave him much thought until a recent playthrough where I tried to max disapproval with Alistair. I definitely got the impression that he wanted to be ruler with Alistair as his puppet, not dissimilar to Loghain/Anora.

Although, yes, Bann Teagan. Ooomf.  ;)

She got released. She swore a oath to the ruler, and went back to Gwaren. She's still the Teyrna, after all.

Also, didn't Gaider say if we made her Queen and we went back to Ferelden, we'd likely see her again.  I think the same might apply if we didn't make her queen-or maybe not.

I read that the only reason she didn't show up in DA2 is that Isabela's VA did the same voice, and they didn't want overlap with a main character. Probably shouldn't read too much into Anora's absence from the game. It could just be a technical choice. Perhaps she'll come back.

hmm, isn't it the warden that says that to anora and depending on your race, she says very funny/or she makes a better gaurd?

(or close to that)

Since the Inquisition is setting up shop in Ferelden, perhaps the player will play a role in the fate of the mages, given the M-T War. Side with the templars or the mages in having the Circle Tower autonomous, or under templar rule.

If Anora is the Queen (which she is in my run, married to personality hardened Alistair as King), I hope the player can meet her. I thought she was a progressive and intelligent leader.

Im not sure id call her that progressive, doesn't she badly punish the elves if they protest about their bann getting murdered by humans?

She is a noble, if she was no longer queen, then she goes back to being the Arlessa or whatever of the family estate.

Uhm... no. Not sure why they changed Isabella's VA in the first place. But they changed Isabela and Anders (in his case, his original VA also voiced Cullen) for Dragon Age II so that shouldn't have kept them from giving Anora a cameo.

That happens no matter who rules if you don't have a City Elf Warden who chooses to leave her cousin in charge.

No, that's because of a food shortage if the slavers are shut down in Denerim, but that's why I see Queen Anora with King Alistair as the best solution - since they have their own strengths, and make up for the weaknesses of the other. Anora has ambitions to build a university and has plans to refill the royal coffers, while Alistair is willing to go the step further by naming the local elder to his personal court, despite the scandal it causes among the humans, which prevents any riot among the elves (likely because there's no food shortage as a result of the elves finally having a voice).

Shianni, as Bann, gets murdered, but the crackdown that ensues happens no matter who the ruler is. The most optimal choice is for the Elven Warden to become the new Bann of the Alienage: “With [The Elven Warden] as their new voice, the elves became prosperous in a way they had never known... enough to draw elves from nearby lands, desperate for real hope. The influx built ire among the human population and eventually resulted in a riot in Denerim, showing that as much as things change, they always stay the same.”

Wait.. yeah, my bad. And I misinterpreted something I read. They only changed Isabela's actress in DA2 so as not to be confused with Anora any longer. link < -- According to that post by Gaider, they wanted different actresses for major characters. That might be a sign that Mika Simmons could come back as Anora though, since it seems they want her to be the main voice from now on.

In any case, it shouldn't be much of a problem to have Anora make an appearance in future games. The only requirement is if any of the story takes place in Ferelden. Simple choice there.

Epilogue of DA:O. If Shianni is named the new bann of the Denerim alienage, she's murdered in a riot.
