Heh... Every time I see one of you guys post things like "it must be some kind of misunderstanding" or "probably a translation error", I hear an anime character saying in shock "ussodaro?!" or "Bakana!!" ![]()
While I personally stopped caring(killed the only guy I cared about anyway, he's one with the force now), I can understand the disquiet you may feel. Man, those journalists are taking their time with the article, aren't they?

Wouldn't it work...
If the way you'd see the warden or hawke would be by finding a journal of someone who's venturing alongside them?
And then have a segment where you can play as the warden or hawke while the inquisitor narrates what happens, whenever you choose something as the warden or hawke, the inquisitor narrates what the person alongside hawke or the warden thinks/sees of what you chose to do.
So the reason behind what the warden or hawke's actions are still yours because they don't right out express themselves but rather you see the perspective of someone who witnesses these events.
Imagine something like Bastion for lack of a better example, but with the inquisitor as the narrator of the journal.
probably never gonna happen, but it's still an idea for the devs to try out for other games if they want ![]()

Strangely enough, I have no problem with my Warden and Champion doing other things once I stop controlling them. As long they don't become like Crazy Revan in SWTOR, I'll be fine. I sculpted them to be the best they can be. What they do outside of Origins and II is on them (or Bioware).

DG has said before that they'll use Hawke and the Warden as they see fit
...IF they ever decide to use them. He had neither confirmed nor denied their actual involvement. He just said, that they were perfectly aware about how explosive that subject is.
Hopefully, that means no Revan 2.0.

With the news that the Warden and Hawke will appear, I'm starting to wonder if they'll make their appearance...alive. They did disappear without a trace, without telling anyone where they were going. Just up and vanished right before chaos hits Thedas. It would make sense if they had been killed. I wouldn't put it past the writers to sneak out "Oh yeah, Hawke is definitely in the game. Won't be a party member, though!", only to fail to mention that you're going to run across Hawke drawn and quartered in the middle of Val Royeaux.

Where's the article from today? Couldn't find it.
The only GameStar article I could find was from August last year.

I'll probably be like Hawke when she saw her mother become Mama Frankenstein.

Ugh I can just imagine a scenario where you finally find out why both Warden and Hawke had disappeared into the sunset and that reason is they were both somehow kidnapped by the big bad and used in a special blood magic ritual to tear the fade (their blood was needed because they were the strongest?) and you of course come too late and just see two mutilated corpses. (so you wont have a distinct look) Also later in the game you encounter both of their LI's who know about the death but have instantly moved on with a random Mary Sue.

Anyone have ideas on how they would implement such cameos? Are they going to allow us to reconstruct Warden/Hawke's faces in DA: Keep? Will they be voiced? Or see them from a distance? Maybe not see them at all, just hear of them through journal entries and/or narration? Depending on the context of their disappearence of course.
Just curious to other peoples thoughts.

Truly I mean no offense, as this will naturally keep popping up as it dawns on people, but your best bet will involve reading the entirety of this topic. The matter has been discussed to a great extent here ad nauseum already.

So how soon until we find out one of the following twists:
A)The protag caused the Fade tear in the first place, somehow.
B)See A, but that was really a red herring to what REALLY caused the Fade tear.

I had that idea years ago, except in my idea it was Celene who had them captured and was using their blood to remain forever youthful.

They would never write this, and you're imagining the most ridiculously pessimistic things.
