Excellent. This likely means that my theory is correct. I speculated that dwarves and qunari would have the same voice while humans and elves have the same voice.

1. Male dwarf/qunari
2. Female dwarf/qunari
3. Female human/elf
4. Male human/elf

I think the article said we'd be able to choose the VA at the start of the game.

So something like high and low voices for each gender?

So I can use a male qunari voice as a female elf?

No. apparently one of the journalists asked something like that, and they said the Male and Female voices are seperate.

I don't know what type of voices are. I guess they'd be enough different from each other.

A journalist asked if we can use a female voice for a male PC. It's not possible :D.

David Gaider made it pretty clear, that they wouldn't bring them back for just a cameo. So there definitely won't be a 5sec appearance. They definitely need a face and even more important, a voice. And the only way I see this happening is by giving them random faces and voices.

Giving them random faces would ****** a lot of fans off. And besides if they went to all this trouble to make them appear in DAI they should go all the way and let us customise them. It may be tedious, but still it's better than some random strange face claiming to be the Warden.

Nope, you can only choose between the two voices that were recorded for the gender you've chosen - they specifically said that after one of the journalists asked them wether you could do this (and this way play the first transgendered character ever in a Bioware game ; P)

Edit: Oooops, too late. ^^' And somehow quoting still doesn't work for me, wtf...

That means thAt only mages have this ability, and the article doesn't specify that.

Tearing the fade open require access to magic and the Fade, Dwarf do not have that access by their nature.

Well maybe the Inquisitor's special powers don't require that. We don't know as of yet what they entail.

If player customization of previous protagonists is available at all, I wager it would be relegated to optional Keep content.

Having that pop up in the beginning of Inquisition itself would be a big no-no as far as maintaining new player accessibility 101 is concerned.

"What do these two people look like?"
"How the hell should I know?"

The Fade has torn naturally (or unnaturally). I suspect that anyone could now have limited access to magical ability.

We'll see how it works. Non-mages don't have access to magic (or consciously the Fade) either, and yet they might have this ability.
We have no clue on how this ability works.

If this happens I'll make the ultimate sacrifice my canon. Better to have the warden die then given a random generic appearance. I think it's very unlikely they would do that though.

Everyone has magic  (WoT info), it's the aptitude to use mana that is not always present and the Dwarf, because of lyrium in their body, cannot tap into it.

Of course, it wouldn't be the first time BioWare ****** all over their own lore so the players feel "cool and like superheroes" (aka gameplay is more important even if the story/lore makes not sense). So lets drop this.

You can actually choose which voice you want at character creation. Each race is not restrained to a particular voice.

So I guess the whole Dalish accents thing lasted 1 game, then?

Not that this is a major problem, we can just assume it was something for that clan

I doubt new players would be asked to customize a Warden or Hawke.   And I think that if we're given the ability to customize their appearances, it'll be done in-game rather than in the Keep.  I just can't see it being done via a browser app.  Maybe Varric and Leliana will tell us a story or two...

Hm, then I'm defaulting to it being most likely *if* they do in fact appear it'll be in some weird noncorporeal or helmeted fashion.

As a console player, when I think of the Keep I don't consider it under the lens of "browser app" but rather "companion piece that'll pop up beneath the DAI window on my PS4", but yeah, that is definitely a valid classifier too. So maybe you're right.

I imagine them as the classic shy/mute and translator duo:
The Warden makes a gesture/mumbles something, Hawke jokingly explains what he said.

That would be cool actually. There are disadvantages, alongside advantages, to being a superhero. This could make for a more interesting story.

I'm also a console player, which is why I intend to access it via my computer.  The PS3 browser is an awkward thing.   :P

And it sounded like the Keep was something that was meant to be accessible even on mobile devices, so I definitely don't see them fitting a CC in there.
