My canonical warden is dead so I really don't care either way.... As long as they don't magically resurrect her.

So something like high and low voices for each gender?
Normal voice and zombie voice.

That is actually a very good idea from a resource management. Having voices to choose from is definitely easier than implementing static voices for each race.

Indeed. The Fade has torn naturally (or unnaturally). I suspect that anyone could now have limited access to magical ability.

Presumably they would've wandered off to do The Calling beforehand, though.
I think it's best not to rely on a translation of a German article to start frenzied speculation on whether the Hawke and Warden will be in the game - and from what I can tell, the original line is ambiguous anyway. Its main point was about Morrigan.
There is nothing ambiguous about it at all, if you are talking about this image: http://captaincodebr...age/80363580934
It says Morrigan will apear in Inquisition, but not as a party member. And it claims the same is true for the Warden and Hawke. And while my english might be shaky, my german - as a native speaker - is not.

The Inquisitor starts the game in a battle when the Veil tears. Only he survives and now he has super-special-i-cant-believe-its-not-butter-powers. Easy.

Seriously, can we mark the spoilers, guys? Some of us would prefer not knowing about the IHOP (Iconic Hot Oil Plot) until we actually play the game.
Agreed. N.B. Use

Wasn't it mentioned somewhere that if the Origins Warden was dead, Cassandra was talking about the Awakening Warden-Commander?

"Whats the deal with Morrigan? The witch will make an appearance in Inquisition, but not as a playable partymember. The same goes for Hawke from DA2 and the Grey Warden from DAO."
That would be the translation.

-The Inquisitor can make his/her own rifts (is it the correct word for Risse) in the fade and summon demons
Meeh... I'm still not sold on this yet, at least not with a none-mage character. Hopefully there's a way to make it viable across all races and classes without it becoming a 'snowflake hero saves the world with their one of a kind special superpower' type thing.
To quote Mark Darrah (executive producer) "Ultimately, Dragon Age: Inquisition is about the burden of leadership." So I hope the main focus is on that and the conflicts within that role, rather than our special rifting abilities.

In a Dragon Age Keep Q&A they said that the keep currently does not support appearance data for Hawke or the Warden, so I don't see how they could appear in game without wearing full body armour and a helmet.
Would it not make more sense to make them "rebuildable" in the full game when the character creator is complete?

I think the Warden and Hawke had a run in with a dragon and now their helmets have been soldered to the rest off their armor. Problem solved. ![]()
The Warden also had his vocal cords destroyed during this incident.

Neither: it's a joke.
I can say for certain I was not joking.
A lot of the technical issues, as well as narrative inconsistencies, with bringing the Warden back could be resolved in just such a way.
Could be.

True, rather cheap but consistent way to bring a player character as an NPC. I would prefer them not to touch on that at all.

Bringing back the Warden seems to much of a hassle to me. Unless you make him/her totally unrecognisable an then well whats the point?
With Hawke, well the race and voice is set, but look and character isn't, so again seems too much work to me.
And if they don't put in the work and get this just right, half of their fandom will call for Bioware's heads. Granted that will probably happen anyway, but it could be way worse.
