Anyone else having problems with NWN video recording / keyboard?

I'm very happy with it (even though it's unsupported), but sometimes it disables hotkeys in NWN (which also prevents video capture). It's not a total keyboard freeze, as I can still enter text in the chatbar.
At least one other Gregion user has reported the same issue with NWN.
None of the general keyboard glitch remedies I've read about seem to work. Even more strangely, once the problem occurs, rebooting doesn't cure it, and yet the next day it has gone away, often for weeks on end.
I'm running NWN under Win7 in XP-SP3 compatibility mode.
Any ideas? Is there a better idiot-proof video recorder for NWN?

Open Broadcaster Software : Freeware/Live Stream/Video Capture capability + Instant MP4 encoding for Youtube.
I havent used Fraps for years, it makes like 100 avi files to record for 20 minutes lol.

I downloaded this a few months ago but haven't had a chance to play with it. It looks lovely and like it'll be a huge step up from X-Fire, which I'd been using for in-game videos, and/or CamStudio, which I'd been using for tutorials. What combination of settings do you use to compress the video before upping it to YouTube?

II always used my normal streaming settings. Never really messed with the settings much yet. The video settings are all machine specific so its a matter of tweaking them all individually for the best quality. My captures of NWN seem pretty crappy so far. A lot of lost pixels and distortion.
Encoding/Video
x264, Use CBR, Quality 5-10(depends on your machine), CBR padding, 2500 kb/s max bitrate(for twitchtv)
-----
Encoding/Audio
112/160 kbps AAC(twitchtv requires 160+, 112 is perfect)
-----
Video
1280x720p or 1920x1080p resolution
30 fps
Disable Aero
-----
Broadcast Settings
Save to File for local storage.
I usually clip highlights from streams though which can then be posted to youtube w/o using local storage at all ![]()
-----
Advanced Settings
CPU Preset: Veryfast
If you have at least an i5 cpu: faster
i7: maaaaybe Fast.
Every time i have changed this it has ended badly rofl.
