My top 5 characters I want to see again who were absent in dragon age 2

 

1.Oghren- My favorite companion from origins and awakening oghren was a powerhouse and had some of the funniest conversations hes still my fav dwarf (no offense varric) and hes a grey warden! I would love to see the banter between varric and oghren especially since varric is so different since hes a surface dwarf it would make for some truly hilarious moments

 

2.Shale-No brainer one of the most popular characters in the dragon age series last I heard of shale was that she had a role in the novel dragon age asunder along with wynne and leliana I never read the book so I dont know what happened to her after but heres hoping we see her DA:I

 

3.Sten- Sten became the new arishok in the dragon age novels and comics after the events of origins and DA2 so hes the most likely candidate on my list to show up in DA:I Im curious is he still called sten? or arishok? Lol

 

4.Velanna- Most people call velanna an elf ripoff of morrigan which is understandable the two were very similar but Im one of the few who liked every companion from all the games velanna included and im interested to see what shes been up to since awakening.

 

5.Sigrun- Same goes for sigrun I would love to see what shes been up to since awakening and shes the only person at least that I know of that is both a legion of the dead member and a grey warden at the same time! (assuming you made her a warden)

 

SPOILER ALERT- I would have included wynne but in the novel dragon age asunder she dies R.I.P. wynne!!!

Definitely SIgrun. Oghren as well. Morrigan, of course, and she will. Sten as well.

Aside from those mentioned, with a few exceptions, I'd like to see Loghain return.

Loghain and Morrigan. Though I would be lying if I weren't afraid how they will be handled in Inquisition.

Really, any of the companions that didn't get to be in DA2.

 

We already know about Morrigan, of course, and someone at BioWare recently mentioned working with Loghain's VA again, so maybe we are going to see him, which would be brilliant. I suspect Sten may also put in an appearance. (Although I guess we'll have to call him "Arishok" now, at least in imports where we killed the previous one in DA2 ...)

 

Other than than, I really want to see Shale and Sigrun because they're my favourites. Not that I wouldn't be pleased to see Oghren and Velanna as well.

Loghain - If he survived and if Fereldan is really on the brink of war with Orlais like Alistair hinted at, logically he should come back. He's a Fereldan patriot living in a country he's spent his entire life hating.

 

Oghren - My favorite companion from Origins. I doubt Amaranthine is going to be an area we visit but oh MAN it'd be awesome if it was and we got to visit Vigil's Keep again and chill with him. Actually, he's the only companion from that game that's confirmed to stay a warden at the Vigil. I could totally see him rising up to Warden Commander.

 

Architect - Such an interesting character. Even if he gets a little cameo or doesn't play a big part, that'd still be enough. Definitely one of the more interesting DA characters.

 

Anora - I guess this is kind of cheating considering Alistair would go along with it but I really hope that one of Fereldan's monarchs makes an appearance given that the scale of the game is grand again this time.

In the book just to let those who have not read it know. Wynn does not die while helping Leliana and Shale. Leliana has a very small part in the book and Shale is only mentioned once. If you want to know what happens I suggest reading the book it is a good one.

 

Also I would like to see Oghren return. He was the lovable drunken dwarf. I still smile when I picture him waving to my warden in the Ameranthine keep when you first see him in Awakening.

Shale would be nice as well. Really any one from the first game would be my top picks even if they are not companions and least getting to see what they are up to now would be amazing.

Prior to certain spoilers, my first answer would have been Dagna. Looks like I got my wish.

 

So I guess Shale is kind of a no-brainer. I'd also like to see how Finn reacts to the mage-templar war, seeing as how he was pretty pro-circle.

I would also like to see what finn and ariane from the witch hunt dlc have been up to yea finn was pretty much headboy of the circle mages haha so his world must be shattered now that theres a war lol

Shale.  Thanks to her, I've decided that my first Inquisitor shall be a member of House Cadash.  Is it purely due to the Easter Egg connection?  Yep.  Do I have any shame about it?  Nope.

 

Sigrun would be my next choice, though I doubt my favorite perky-goth Death Seeker is still alive.  A codex about her would be welcome.

 

If we're just talking characters, I want to find out what happened to Connor and Fenyriel, should you let them live/not become Tranquil.

 

I will also echo TR1GGA here and I'd like to see what happened to Finn and Ariane.

Hmm, well I'd have to say:

 

1) Loghain: We know if he survives he is sent to Orlais to lead the Wardens there so it will be interesting to see how the last decade has treated him.

 

2) Cautherin: I loved her character and was sad how minor her role and screentime was. I'd like to see how if she survived is doing in Ferelden. Maybe serving as a general or something. 

 

3) Shale: Because it is Shale.

 

4) Connor: I want to see how Connor ended up after saving him(or if you let the Desire Demon claim him on a later date).

 

5) Architect/Awakened Darkspawn: I want to see how they are progressing after a decade.
