I'm considering if I should just wait untill mass effect 2 comes out, or start playing the first one..

what should I do, I know an advantage to playing the first one you can import your profile but I don't know if the information is that important or will affect your future gamelay heavily:happy:

Play the first one. Not only you'll understand the second's plot better, but the importing changes the game heavily based on a multitude of decisions from the first games that pass onto the second.

Definately play the first one. It's a great game in it's own right and i'd recommend it to anyone.

ME2 will play like your game in ME1 plays because it is YOUR game - as in ME2 is more of an expansion pack to ME1 than a full out sequel.



If you want to play ME2 as a standalone that's cool too because it looks like it works great that way also.



IMO, if you're looking for a good story - just go with ME2. If you're looking for an incredible experience never seen before in gaming - play ME1 and ME2.

If you purchase the Steam version the Bring DOwn the Sky DLC comes free with it. It's pretty good but not essential to the game.

Play the first one first>>> its a singleplayer game, which means relax and enjoy. Its not like Call of Duty of Streetfighter where u have to hurry up and get good at the game to keep up with the multiplayer hordes. take your time, and play one then play two, you will thank us later.
