Weekes said he was writing for a gay character and that a few of his gay friends corrected him on a common pit fall straight writers fall into while writing for gay characters(He didn't specify what that was). 

 

While that may well apply to Iron Bull, the fact that he's writing for Celene, who we know is a lesbian, points to her as being more likely.

I'm betting chili dog; all the food comparisons have always related to personality traits more so than physical comparisons. 

 

Do find it interesting though hardly surprising that Weekes didn't really pay attention when they were handing out the food comparison thing. I guess that's just not part of his process.

I hope he isn't the Qunari version of Orghren. I loved Orghren but I want something different for  different game. I also wonder if we will be able to talk to him about the Qun. I don't think he isn't still part of the religion, it seems like some of his behavior wouldn't be allow by the Qun. If the rumors about him are true that is.

I don't think he'll be as "gross" as Oghren?  Or, his sense of humor won't be as foul.  I imagine it being bawdy and loud, but not as... hmmm, crass, perhaps as Oghren?  Could be wrong, just speculation, but it's kind of the feel I get for him.

 

Which is good, because while I love Oghren, variety is nice.

Someone posted a picture of a hamster eating a banana which was cute but suggestive and joked "this is what inquisitor/Iron Bull romance would look like" and Allan replied something like "well if a hamster is the best representation of Iron Bull you can find..." But trollin' or truthin' either way we were being teased

The general hope is that he'll be like Oghren if Oghren were competent in areas other than killing darkspawn.

To me, Oghren's main entertainment value came from the various NPCs mocking him.  The end result of him trying to get back with one of his old flames was one of the most hilarious moments in the series, ranking just below Sten and Morrigan's final banter.

 

I never found Oghren himself to be very endearing, what with his old hat drunkard character type.  I, too, really hope Iron Bull strays from that path.

He strikes me as a similar outlook on life as Oghren- lots of booze, fights and women type of guy- but with a few differences, mainly that I think he won't depend on alcohol to escape his problems but that he faces them head on, horns and all.
