Yeah, I don't want that either. But I think it could make sense enough for him. Sten didn't have any qualms about the ritual, if I recall. They're not breaking any of their own taboos by doing it at least.

 

Yea, I'm not saying reaver doesn't make sense for Iron Bull. Makes more sense than champion or templar would. But Cassandra or Blackwall being reavers wouldn't make sense.

Hm, I thought he was going to be like Khal Drogo from GOT, but it looks like he's more of Oghren & Varric type of guy.. well that's fine with me.

Could be. Might be reflecting their penance for their past, or a reflection of the brutality of their fighting style, or it could tie in to the theory that qunari are related to dragons.

 

Could also be a coincidence, or even an in-joke.

Though I gotta say I'm a bit surprised, Sera. You do such stunts in the demo and trailers that being thrown at the enemies shouldn't be a problem at all

Iron Bull must be such a big softie!

Like, he gets along with almost everyone, isn’t prideful or stuck up, just wants to have some to trust, isn't ashamed of his culture but doesn't force anyone to accept it and while he doesn’t mind a good sex, he makes sure that his partner is tough enough not to ger hurt

I expected them to joke about everything and everyone together, writing corny and horny limericks

that's a good point, Varric didn't seem to have a huge problem with Tallis. But I just imagined that Varric and Iron Bull would have Friendly Drinking competitions.

Maybe Varric will be shocked that such a fun dude like Iron Bull still loves his people despite them being like, ultimate-no-fun-culture-ever. Tries to joke about it, but Iron Bull suddenly becomes defensive, cause it's his people. And Varric tries to convince him, fails at it and becomes confused/frustrated

Im hoping that they end up getting along. Just because they have a confrontation or 2 doesnt mean they are doomed to hate each other the whole game.

Like I said a page or so back, it doesn't bother me. In a way, it's really character development on Varric's part(not necessarily positive development, but development none the less) that he doesn't get along with everyone.

What if it's all an act? Since he is a spy (I'm not well versed enough in the Qun society or language to start throwing any of their own terms around) isn't it possible that this persona he has is part of the job... What if he really is a stoic as the other qunari but is merely extremely good at playing the specific part he was assigned? Anyone think this would be an interesting turn of events?
