I believe that's Black Whirlwind from jade Empire. haven't played the game myself, but I've heard him compared to Oghren and I've heard Iron Bull compared to him.

Iron Bull doesn't look like the member of a boy band. That in itself is reason enough for me to want him as a romance option. That's not to say that I necessarily loathed previous romance options, because I didn't. But lets be frank, they all follow a familiar trend; they are fairly young, attractive, clean shaven(with the exception of Ander's stubble) and all full of passion, but lacking in the wisdom that comes from a few more years under the belt. Maybe Iron Bull will break that mold?
Since the overhaul of the Qunari design in Dragon Age II I've been a big fan of them. The Arishok was one of my favorite characters. Iron Bull doesn't look as cool to me at first glance, but how I view a character will change as their personality comes through. I have high hopes.
I like his distinct horns thought. Supposed CC will have more horn models. Maybe some are more reminiscent of real animals than others?

Something I'm curious about; will he maintain leadership of his mercenary group(assuming he's still the leader of a group as opposed to a lone mercenary) after he joins us?
Like, when he's not in the party will he be leading them on missions elsewhere? Will he be pledging them to the cause?
Or will whatever circumstances lead him to join us result in him breaking ties with them?

This is interesting to me as well. I have a feeling that this game is going to be similar to ME3 in the fact that you will be collecting support from various factions along the way and perhaps Iron Bull's mercenary group could be one of those factions. It could be similar to Aria (from ME3 in that respect) except that the leader joins you as a companion.

Aria did join the PC briefly during the Omega DlC...Just putting that out there.

I feel cheated that I was not able to get into Afterlife after completing said adventure.
Aria was waiting for me, they should have let me in, ugh.

Double it!
...Nope, Nothing.
Wasn't funny in ME 2, Isn't funny here.

Yeah, I meant in the vanilla game though, since Iron Bull is almost certainly not a DLC character.

Wouldn't surprise me ONE bit, to find out he was a day one DLC character, Bioware is getting into the habit of doing that.

Has a Day One DLC character ever been part of the pre-release marketing for the main game? I don't think so for the DA games. Were Shale or Sebastian known about this far out? Perhaps Javik was (in ME 3), but honestly I just can't remember.
I guess, bottom line, we have nothing to suggest that he is DLC and not in the vanilla game.

If he's still with his mercenary band, I think he will be an NPC. However, if he's a companion, I think he will have left his mercenary band.

Sebastian was marketed a tad before hand, and he even had a trailer if memory serves me.

He was always shown as dlc though. I doubt that they'd made a character that appeared in the first trailer and in the first coverage as dlc.Sebastian was marketed a tad before hand, and he even had a trailer if memory serves me.

Yeah I agree, he seems way to prominent to be a dlc character or npc for that matter.

Yea, I've always been confident he'd be a companion as he occupied this strange position of being far too prominent in the marketing to be a minor NPC and not nearly important enough in universe to be something like a major antagonist.
He fit this perfect middle ground where being a companion made the most sense.

Totally agree. I'm just itching for more info on him though, he seems really interesting.

I'm curious as to how he'll get on with the other companions.
Will Varric's previous experience with the qunari color his judgement of him?
Will Cassandra's chantry leanings bias her against him?
Will he have lingering qun-like opinions of mages, effecting his relationship with Viveinne and Solas?
Even if he doesn't, will they expect him to, and if so, will their prejudice sour the relationship?
Will he have the same respect for the Wardens as the Qunari have?
The only companion I'm fairly confident he'll get on with is Sera; I've seen at least one person shipping them already.

All good questions. But whatever reservations they have about Iron Bull, won't they in turn have those same thoughts about a Quanari inquisitor?

How are so many people already fans of this character? We know nothing about him. Just his looks and some speculation but no idea how its going to play out and stuff.

I just find it weird is all.

Years ago I had a crush on a guy who jogged through my neighborhood. Never ever spoke to him. People do that in real life all the time, except we're going to spend more time with Iron Bull than I ever did with jogging-guy.
