This is the worst case scenario. I hope that a human woman is available to them.
Assuming there aren't other romances outside the party and advisors, which I doubt.
With my luck, it'll be Vivienne.
And I'd sooner ****** glass.

I wouldn't put it past the devs to nix an IB/dwarf romance just because, dear gawd, animating the sex scene.
I have similar concerns if Varric is romanceable and you're playing a Qunari, or even a human.
WE might think it would be delightful, but animators have another thought process.
It's the Bull's Charges' symbol
.
That's a very intimidating and hardcore symbol ![]()
With race restrictions, it seems possible that she won't romance people of other races. With my luck, it'll be Vivienne.

I'm pretty sure we can guess what nickname Varric gave to Iron Bull

Hell, I don't think she'd romance Fereldans.
You're not just saying that to make me feel better, are you?

"Magic fingers" Because of his skill with a blade
Meanwhile, Viv is "horn head"
Nope, that's what I really believe. I like Vivienne, but it might fit her personality that she looks down on other races and doesn't find them attractive. You're not just saying that to make me feel better, are you?

Especially if they're dog lords
Though if she supports the Circle system then I wouldn't be surprised if she is against any serious relationship

I'm pretty sure all the human Inquisitors are "Dog Lords" (if the Trevelyan name is based on Cornish, as it seems). I guess you could knock off Viv from any Human PC's options, if she's that against it.

My post on that was a joke. I can see her not being attracted to non humans though.
My bad. I was just glancing the thread ![]()
Still no Mayhem in the thread title.

I'll trade the animators a fade to black if they gives us an IB/dwarf or Varric/qunari option. If my dog can be half lab half dachshund I don't see how two individuals from two intelligent species can't figure something out.
I can see her not being attracted to non humans though.
Hm... I don't know. I can picture Viv finding Qunari and Dwarves unattractive, but Elves? Not so much. Vivienne's extreme fashion suggests she'll be pro-hygiene, similar to Finn in Witch Hunt. Since Elves are a lot less hairy, I can see her finding that attractive about them. Not to mention, Elves are referred to as attractive by Humans.
Just my thought, though.

Vivienne is pure Orlesian noble, dating elves is a big no-no in that society.

So I'm planning on doing a run in which everyone on the team who restricts romances based on race is going to get kicked from the team.
Based on what we know right now, Iron Bull's safe.

I suppose. I seem to remember Leliana mentioning Elves are treated fairly well, if they work hard enough. Some even manage to become richer than Humans. I don't think it's fair how an Elf's only way to succeed in society is servitude to Humans (After all, that conversation is mostly about scolding Leliana for being insensitive to the Elf PC), but it makes me wonder if it wouldn't be COMPLETELY unacceptable for a wealthy Elf to marry a wealthy Human. I haven't actually read The Masked Empire or much else Orlesian, however, so I could be completely wrong. If I am, sorry.
The fact that humans find elves attractive doesn't mean that ever humans find them attractive.
The other point might be true, but I didn't say that I think she has to be non attracted to elves or other races. I said i can see this if it'll happen.
And I didn't say she has to be attracted to Elves. It's simply a common opinion amongst Humans that Elves are an attractive people. The notion of Vivienne finding Elves "pleasing to look at" isn't impossible, though neither is her being unattracted to them.
I doubt IB is restricted only to qunari, since it had been mentioned that he's willing to hop with nearly everyone who's not too fragile into bed. Mayyybbbeee it won't be dwarfes because they don't fit into the "not too fragile"-category because they're rather tiny. Maybe. Then again, though, dwarfes look rather buff. They can kick ass (and personally, some elfes look more fragile to me than dwarfes).
The animation-problem has been mentioned years ago. It is difficult, yes, but didn't they have enough time to figure something out? At least asexual romance maybe?
Ok, random thought of the day that has nothing to with romance:
Imagine if IB laughed at his own jokes or puns.
Iron Bull: Hey Varric, what says a dragon to dwarfes during battle?
Varric: [sigh] What?
Iron Bull: The dragon says they- [wheezes] He says- [cracks up and starts laughing and crying at the same time]
Varric: ... [walks away]
If anything it should be a class thing. I guarantee you that an elf warrior is gonna be a whole lot less fragile than a human mage.

Dwarves... fragile? They are bred from stone and molten lava, and incubate as little rock nuggets. Then pop out like an egg into full grown Paragons of Manliness (even if they're women).
Dwarves are built like tree-stumps. I'd say they're the second most durable race, next to the Qunari, but even that is arguable.
Edit: Regardless, if IB does get hit with a race restriction to his rumored romance, I'm betting it will be dwarves and elves that get excluded, despite my fondness for tree-stump gangsters.
