You can do it with or without Arikshok's respect. You can do it siding with Petrice or not. You can do it by letting Isabela get away with the Tome. You can do it by dueling or slaughtering all the Qunari in the room and punking out the Arishok even more with a humiliating deathblow.

So I'm actually thinking about the whole iron Bull thing in relationship to race gating the romance and what races would be "breakable", and it's reminding me of a situation in the Game of Thrones fandom and a debate going on there right now, as concerning the character of Grey Worm and his budding relationship with Missandei.

 

For those not in the know, Grey Worm is a eunuch; his genitals were cut off as a child. So a lot of people watching and even a few people in the show have wondered where this is going since they can't have sex. Which has a lot of other people countering that they're still perfectly capable of having a fulfilling romantic relationship, as people in the real world who've lost their genitals due to some accident or medical condition are capable of.

 

Let's say Iron Bull is a romance option; more than just a fling but a full blown love interest. Assuming people who perceive him as being too big in certain... areas, or too physically strong in general, to safely have sex with, say, an elf or a dwarf are right, there are other ways of being physically intimate with someone, and it's not like we're going to be getting explicit love scenes, anyway.

Well, this is what I've always said when discussing qunari x non-qunari romance, but people can't seem to get away from the "insert penis in hole" mentality. But yes, and I also totally agree with you about Grey Worm and Missandei; in fact, they're one of my favorite couples

I can think of a dozen ways of doing the romance scene without physical contact ever happening between the models. Only thing that would need to be adjusted would be head tilts.

I think kissing is completely doable, unless IB's mechanics won't allow him to tilt forward. I'm gunning for a kiss scene similar to M!Hawke and Fenris at the end of DA2... grab that little dude and lay one on him! So cute.

Oh I see. lol I'm so sorry!! Hmm sadly it looks like one of us may be left in the cold though when push comes to shove! Of course, optimally speaking, he'll be up for all kinds of loving Let's hope that's the case. (Although I'd rather him be the gay option so I could have my bi Cullen... sniffle.)

 

(But then that leaves out Blackwall, too... WAHHHH I want too much!)

I honestly think we're going to be looking at eight romance options. They may have specified that it would be the most out of any dragon age game, which puts it at 6 minimum, but I think they were including their other single player games in the original statement and the correction was made to exclude The Old Republic.

I'm not a huge fan of changing thread titles much.  I only changed it once and that was just the other day.  I'll eventually get around to it, but I'd rather not feel pressure to change it regularly.
