So they've got Varric's character profile out, and it mentions that the only person who he won't at least try and get along with in the party is going to be Cassandra.

 

So this tells me that he will initially try and get along with Iron Bull before Iron Bull's no apologies personality shoots him down. 

 

Also makes me wonder if Iron Bull and Cassandra's friendship isn't at least partly based off of them bonding over being the two members of the party that Varric doesn't like.

I personally don't mind that he's unattractive.  Being ace means physical appearance matters diddly to me.  It's all about the personality, and his seems pretty fab.  ;D

I saw a tweet teasing him as a LI, but another tweet make it ambiguous again. That's why people are speculating whether James Vega is romanceable. He escaped me in ME but not in DA, thee shall see!
