As for having to deal with a Qunari, it says that Iron Bull comes out and tells you he's a Qunari spy in his interview, so I imagine there's a good chance you can decline him as a party member based on that, like you can decline Cole. It would surprise me if, after that, you didn't get a choice to say that, no, you're not cool with it.

What the Inquisitor says after sleeping with Iron Bull
Spoiler
I did this WAY back in the locked romance thread; seems like we got the same idea ![]()
IB:"But i may make you walk funny afterwa...."
INQ: "Don´t worry Iron bull!, i killed that dragon with my bare hands did i not?"
IB: "...fair point, okey then..."
*afterwards*:
INQ "...holy maker, i can´t feel my legs!"
IB: *Smug smile* "Told ya...."

Arg I really want to take those two everywhere with me on my first playthrough, but I don't know what mage to pair them with. Vivienne and The Bull get along, but I don't know how well Viv would get along with Sera, Dorian sounds awesome but I can see him conflicting with both of them seeing as a how he was noble mage from Tevinter, and Solas seems like way too much of an introvert to enjoy their antics. I might just have to save this pair for my mage playthrough, when I can just add a second rogue/warrior into the mix instead.

I actually had the same idea when I first saw Iron Bull in the teaser trailer long ago ![]()
His horns are kind like a football post. Imagine if all the companions were competing against each other for the most touchdown over Iron Bull's horn w/o him knowing ![]()

I'll probably allow Iron Bull into my party... but if he tries spying on the Inquisition, I will kill him.

Not to burst anyone's bubble or anything, but isn't that the reason he is ostensibly there? Like, he tells you up front so there aren't any big arguments later on. "Hi, I'm the Iron Bull, I've got this great mercenary company, I'm also Ben-Hassrath and occasionally send reports back to the Qunari about what's going on. I'm very skilled and want to join up with you to help out however I can. Yes, I'm still sending in reports. No, I'm not doing this for free. Nice to meet you."

Well, that's somewhat different, but why in hell would anyone rational take that deal?

Iron Bull is the most difficult sell to me among the companions, because I'm not a Qunari supporter in the least. I've never left or killed a companion yet when I didn't have to and I'm not saying that's what I'll do. I probably will never refuse to recruit someone or kill a companion unless it's a 1 vs 1 situation (Alistair vs Loghain, Ashley vs Kaidan, etc) or I really, really want to make a decision that they will turn on me for and it doesn't matter if I don't take them on the quest. I am going to pick up Iron Bull, explore his dialog options, do his quests. I am really unsure whether or not they can sell him to me as a likable character, though. I have a hard time believing that he wont end up my least liked companion. It would require they not just rely on "haha, Iron Bull is so fun, look at him get drunk and **** it up". I want to actually be able to talk to him about how the Qun treats mages, how they force people into breeding programs and deny romantic relationships, how they take choice out of people's hands, and I want to hear him explain how he can justify supporting this institution in a way I can accept, if that's actually possible.
If he leaves the Qun resulting from his doubts, though, that's another kettle of fish. Then we could possibly be good friends. It's if he stays then we have a problem.

Because the Qunari are not stupid , they are not going to attack the Inquisition , if the Inquisition is busy saving the world.
Same way , Sten was send to study the Blight , was told the wardens were good guys , and the Qunari have never been a threat to the Grey Wardens.
Should the Inquisition fail, I think it's a good idea alerting everyone about what's going on.

Well, they won't attack the Inquisition now, but they sure as hell will when they eventually invade.

Haha, good point. On a meta-level, it would just be that I don't actually want to miss out on any companions, first playthrough.
Maybe when we first meet Bull and he offers his services, the Inquisition needs all the help it can get and can't afford to be choosy? I mean, giant tear in reality opening in the sky. Kind of more important, to my Inquisitors and probably to the Qunari themselves, than me not agreeing with the Qun.
(Alternatively, for some people's Inquisitors, they might be a bit too... distracted... to clearly rationalize him joining up.

What good does it do to save your continent from demons when you lay bare its defenses for the scrutiny of the qunari and let them invade?

Not a lick of good, actually! This is probably all going to end disastrously in the future. "Mayheeem" and all that.
I'm playing all my Inquisitors as a little confused about how they got put into a position of leadership, though, because they're all a little dumb or naive in various ways, and as a result are too short-sighted or trusting to understand the long term results of who they're giving power/information during times of crisis. The only smart one in the lot is going to be my Dalish mage, and she's probably going to be the only one who is openly wary of Bull as a result.
So from a roleplaying perspective, I've justified it.

From the recent interview of Dorian
"Dorian's relationship with the Iron Bull is interesting. The Qunari have been at war with the Tevinter Imperium for centuries, after all, and the fact that neither Dorian nor Iron Bull are typical of their people makes for an intriguing arc."
Interesting. I can't wait to see how they interact with each other.
