Since Iron Bull hunts demons and likes to drink, I wouldn't be surprised if he had a story about an encounter with a Desire Demon where he somehow tricked it into getting drunk. What happens from there is up to your interpretation.

I don't think a Desire Demon need wine to get someone drunk, normally it just takes five word before your wrapped around her fingers.

That whole redcliffe scene makes me think I am not taking him on that quest

I doubt the demons would get to the door if he was still alive. He can come on every other quest but this one he's sitting out nice and safe at the keep.

I think he and Sera were only incapacitated (plot armor ftw).

 

And from what I've heard, the player character was only level seven. Bioware wouldn't be so mean as to kill off our companions at level seven, would they? QnQ

I believe they also said that the player may not even have that situation. The Redcliffe situation is based on a choice from an earlier decision.

 

But if I do get that choice, I may change it up based on what I've seen. I might go with Cullen's plan and have Cassandra along. Having templars around would be a good counter to tons of demons I think. (or at least I hope)

the devs said that the stats and abilities and health etc in the demo were super manipulated, and had no relevance/relation to actual gameplay. So no worries there, but if you rush there you might be level 7 when you get to redcliffe.

My PC has immunity from Desire Demon tactics.  He has the Supergay perk.
