Just saw a gamplay video about this character. Looks freakishly weird. Tiny head, golem body and horns from a bull (nothing like the horns qunari had in DA2). All in all, very weird.

I'm not sure if that's the case, but from the little things Devs have said I have a strong suspicion (purely speculative) that Iron Bull is romantically involved with someone else, or that he enjoys open relationships. There's definitely something complicated beyond, uh, biology going on. 

 

With all the talk of a variety of different kinds of romantic stories I don't think it'd be completely left field for us to get something like this... but we'll see.

Oh that would be... interesting. But are you sure they weren't talking about the Dragon Age community and player emotions as opposed to the people of Thedas?

 

I really really like the idea of romance affecting other things within the game. The real life relationships of those in power tend can affect their popularity, so why shouldn't that be the case for games like DA:I as well? Sounds like a nifty mechanic.

I have no idea. The first thing that came to mind for me was the reaction of other companions, but as you say, it could just be a really heartwrenching tale of a Qunari struggling against his PTSD, and all of his beliefs in order to fall in love and leave his past behind

Won't the inquisition be pretty well-known? It would be pretty easy for another Ben-Hassrath to find out that one of their men is in a relationship with the freaking head of that organization. Only need some spies, no? (Maybe they would send spies anyways, because Iron Bull becomes suspicious after spending 10 years away from his people?)

Having a sexual relationship is pretty much forbidden if you believe in the Qun, so I could see some problems coming from there posssibly.

I have to choose between the Iron Bull and Dorian.

That is both the most amazing and most horrible decision I will face in this game - screw saving the world from mages and templars!

I'm honestly leaning towards the IB, though. Dorian is really cool, but I think I'l pursue him on a later character. Even if I don't romance the IB, he's such a cool character, he'll probably be that companion which is -always- in my party.

And I'm just happy that there aren't many fans like him around  because then the dreams of a Dwarf romancing Iron Bull or even Human romancing Iron Bull would have been shattered to pieces

Proud Garrusmancer and gonna be proud Bull Rider, at least with one of my Inquisitors. The joys of being attracted by personality rather than physique, though Iron Bull has a nice one.

Wait......what?  Care to explain how they could have "kept it as it is" given that Iron Bull is a brand new character?  Do you mean because he used to be race-gated and they opened him to all of the races?
