Neither have I so I can't speak for their romances which is why I only brought up Anders mentioning Karl (which from Anders perspective I get why he brought it up only to male Hawke I just wish he trusted my female Hawkes with that information as well)

I don't know if I had a bug or something, but this is the second time I've heard this: that Anders only expressed his relationship with Karl to a male Hawke - but I totally remember him bringing this up to my femHawke and I just felt like you could see it from a thousand miles away based on the story. It didn't bother me, but I too would have found it odd if that content was gender exclusive.

Coming back to Bull, I don't care if no one ever says bisexual or pansexual in the game, I don't remember them using the terms in previous games, however I would find it odd if his sexual history was tailored to the player character's gender and hope that whatever his history it is consistent and up front for people to react to.

Hopefully that makes more sense. I'm not expecting any of the characters to come out and say 'I am of this sexual orientation' so I apologize if I worded my post to sound as such. ^^;

Really? Players will get locked out for playing qunari? I hadn't heard that. How interesting! I wonder if there are any other races that go through that as well?

 

I wonder how interactions will go (mage or no) if we were to run into a group of qunari with Bull in our party. I know he's a spy and that he tells the inquisitor such, but is it common knowledge?

I didn't get the impression you specifically thought they'd use labels in the dialogue of the game, but I felt that there were some general interpretations thinking gender / sexual identity was something that needed to be labelled so that it could be addressed in game, and I don't feel that way.

To change topic slightly, there's been a lot of talk of short-statured dwarves or delicate elves being a "funny" romance for Bull, when I think the most unusual romance for Bull would be a m/m relationship with a male Qunari. I've seen the wonderful, amazing fan art of Bull with the pale, more lithe qunari with the short horns and the two of them together are adorable, but if I picture another person of Bull's physical build and him in intimate scenarios, I can tell I've been brainwashed because my mind is a little shocked.

There, Huldra, now I'm the one to have said something vastly insensitive again. @_@
If anyone in a similar relationship is reading my thoughts, I will express that I see nothing wrong with such a union, of two tall, muscled men enjoying each other's company either sexually or romantically, all love / happiness should be celebrated ... but I hope my meaning can be interpret appropriately.

I don't think that it should be handled that way though I would like to have the option to flirt with LIs that are unavailable to us and be turned down by them Though that won't be a problem for Iron Bull since he's open to all x3

If mouth-sewing subject is ever brought before my mage qunari quizzy, fireballs will rain from the sky and no one will get out alive. no one. I hope Iron bull intervene, but I can't control myself lol if I have a "fight!" option

Agreed! Nothing more cute to me than having two badass's looking out for eachother and being protective even if they don't need to be. I know my PCs are going to be defending Iron Bull if anyone starts talking sh*t to them.

I think the (first?) time I romance IB will be with a female elf mage. I enjoy both romances where the characters vastly agree and strongly disagree, and generally lean toward doing the latter first. She will be of the mindset that the Dalish are losing their children twice (once to Andraste, and then to the Qun) and be a mage, which actually I wonder if IB will be alright with. I would suspect that even being "one of the team" will be at odds with his aversion to how magic wanders close to "demons." I hope I don't accidentally lock myself out of a romance with him through too much disagreement though and may have to tailor it a little more.

Nah I already got two qunari mages planned so I might roll a warrior see how they are in DAI since I didn't like them much in DAO but liked them a little better in DA2. So two strong qunari warriors kicking butt by day and cuddling by the fire at night x3

 

My first Iron Bull romance is hands down going to be a dwarf Rogue though I'm still trying to figure out her looks (so I hopefully wont spend 8 hours in the CC) and the rest of her personality so far I got laid back no real opinion on the TvM war or religion but really against people thinking lesser of others cause of their race. Though I do plan on romancing him with a mage at some point just not sure when^^; 

 

Hopefully you'll be able to find out pretty quickly if you get locked out of a romance or if you end up breaking it off by accident. Thats what I'm worried about that you won't find out such things until an hour or so later^^; Good luck with your dalish mage run though

XD

It'll be a while before I see other facets of IB's romance (if at all through experience, and not through youtube (mind you, I learned though youtubing Thane of Mass Effect's romance that this is not something I would like to explore)).

However, that still provides plenty of opportunity to befriend IB or to be completely at odds with him. The game certainly doesn't feel as if it will lack for content.

Did you watch the most recently gameplay video? I love his bull pauldron. Do you think there will be central pieces to their outfit (which I understand is equipment based, but that they have a central look) that will change with romance like in DA2? Would you prefer that or rather they didn't?

Dailish was my second least favorite Origin Mage origin being the least favorite for me but they said there wasn't going to be orgins so I guess that takes care of that then? Could never get into role playing a Dalish myself since I don't like role playing as characters who come off as racist^^; Not sure what I'll try Cullen with yet I'd like to get a feel for his character and its arc first before I try and go down that route. I know I plan to do Iron Bull's romance at least twice with a PC of each gender to see if theres any differences in it.

 

I've got a feeling that since I don't roll any religious PCs that Bull and I are going to be buddies he just seems like too much of a fun guy to not try and befriend I just hope i can stay pals with him, Varric, and Blackwall all at once

 

No I haven't I just tend to stick around here for info and haven't looked for many videos^^; sorry. If I recall you can change their armor but they will still keep their iconic look about them so I don't think their look will change much based on a romance though I kind of like the idea of the armor changing base on romance even if it is only a tiny bit (I really loved Merrill's romanced armor and it too me three playthroughs to even notice Isabela's^^; ) So I prefer the armor to get some kind of permanent change if that character is in a romance with you maybe even your armor will get a similar change based on who your romancing x3

Of the remaining men, I can't choose! I'd been hoping for // anticipating Varric since DA2, Blackwall has that glorious beard, and Solas would be nice so that the male romance options available to female player characters include a less muscled option; but I'm not at all dissatisfied with what are available so far.

Zevran gave you his earring from his first assassination, and well, there was a mod that made it equip-able. That would be neat at least, barring being able to see such gifts; and with the option to craft weapons and gear - why not?

Do you think Bull has sentimentality in certain objects from his past? Or that he only keeps the essentials, as is appropriate for the Qun?
