David Gaider tweeted he's at his saturation limit for romance discussion atm. Are you guys happy with Bull's confirmation or would you have rather have found out about someone else and waited in suspense for confirmation on riding the bull since there were so many rumors about him being available as an LI prior to his reveal?

 

I'm glad to have it finally confirmed, to be honest. I know for many people it was "eh, I'm pretty certain", but I really wanted him as an LI, so it sort of took some weight off of the LI thing for me (a lot of weight, since now I know I have at least 2 choices I'm really interested in). As for the last ones, I'll admit I do have one in mind I really want... but with Sera and Bull confirmed for me, more than anything I'll be cool with the results, and happy for whoever is glad with the news... whenever that comes. xD

To be honest, I thought they were going to be "just rumors" since FPJ didn't voice a romanceable character for ME3. I was surprised, and happy to find out the Bull would be available, but a little confused because though I can't speak for my Inquisitors - my experience has left me very wary of the Qun and its followers. (: He'll sure to be interesting.

I'm happy he was confirmed cause I was actually pretty doubtful that we'd be getting a qunari romance at all (now I just have to cross my fingers and hope for a dwarf one either in this game or a future one  ) Really puts my mind at ease that he's 100% confirmed and the no race gates is a HUGE bonus on top of that

The baby on board is my favorite out of all of them   I had more but it wouldn't let me post them for some reason not sure why though *shrugs* oh well.

Yeah, that's something that will be very interesting for me, as well. Even though I plan to romance him, I'm not going to pretend I agree with the Qun. I'm going to be a female Qunari mage, something that is really taboo in the Qun, as far as a 'female who fights' and 'saarebas' goes. (or bas saarebas since I'm not a follower of the Qun?)

 

I'll make it very evident I never plan to be chained or have my mouth sewn shut, and that I enjoy fighting as a woman. If he can respect that (which with how lax he is on Qun 'rules', I'm not too worried) then it will go fine.

I'm happy that  they finally confirmed he was a LI.

Especially the part that he available for all race. 

I was expecting him to be race gated LI because of technical issues and such but because of John Epler's awesomeness, we will be able to romance him as any race and gender

Likewise, I was pretty sure myself after Karin Weekes made the comment, she wouldn't have probably done so if he wasn't, Iron bull was the one i really wanted to romance cause I love qunari (and was tragically saddened that sten nor arishok (of DAII) were romanceableXD) I'm actually glad that bull will be the first cause his personality sounds awesomeXD I still hope that solas will be romanceable, mostly because I love his personality as well and he seems like he could have an interesting romanceXD

I think it was a given that Iron Bull was going to be a romance option, and a m/f plus m/m one at that, but I'm really relived to have confirmation about it! Not only that, but it's increased my interest in the game by a huge amount I have to admit now that I don't have to worry about him possibly not being available for m/m.

 

Also, we got a cool bit of information about the Bull being pan rather than bi. So, yes, I'm happy they delivered with him.

I'm happy that he was finally revealed proper. The wait was killing me, and the devs teasing us wasn't helping

 

Rather it wasn't the waiting that was bothersome - I think we all knew deep in our hearts he would be an LI - but the fact that he could be race-gated. As someone whose looking forward to an elven inquisitor, I'm glad that it isn't the case anymore. And I'm super grateful to John Epler for making it possible

 

I wonder, at this stage of development, if they can reallocate the zots used to record The Iron Bull's rejection dialogue regarding race? We might just get a few extra lines somewhere else.

They... Look pretty damn similar considering to be that Qunari race you need to be grey skinned, horned and big :I (Ignoring Sten and his special snowflake lot)

Alright so there's the Arishok, possibly the best known of the new Qunari (Also the only one who really talked to you actively)

Shockingly, it's hard to find a good picture of a game that isn't out yet but that said they look pretty much the same species :x

Only differences is that Iron Bull doesn't have the Qunari body paint/armor and that's because he's hanging out with humans.

Qunari aren't probably all identical to each other as it was in DA2, so it's possible there'll be some who looks like the DA2 ones.
I don't see be problem with IB's appearance.

I'll admit I wasn't too crazy about his horns at first, but now I'm pretty much 100% on board with them. Though he's quite different from the qunari we've encountered so far, you can still tell he's of the same race so I don't really understand why you think he looks nothing like them. I believe the developers wanted to make him easy to identify among other qunari, and the (to the players) peculiar horn shape was probably the best and easiest way to do that.

 

You're entitled to your opinion of course, he's definitely an acquired taste

There were a couple of different qunari faces in DA 2  and they all looked like twins. Some weird incest thing was going on there I tell you. I am glad Iron Bull looks nothing like them. But - as much as I love his muscular butt - I would lie, if I said I didn't expect a liiiittle bit more in terms of his face.

I love the Bull, but that older design made him look... I don't know... Rougher, younger and more serious?

His nose seemed to be a tiny bit longer and his chin shorter. Is it just me or is his face longer, more narrow and older looking now? 

I don't find his face ugly right now, the older deisgn looked just.... Yummier. Yeah that's it.

 

The in-game deisgn is probably the option that gives Iron Bull more personality and uniqueness. That is the most important thing after all.

Agreed that all the Qunari looked the same in DA2. Why can't the horned race have some variety like other races? Iron Bull is fine, you can obviously tell he's Qunari. I understand the looks aren't for everyone, he's a huge, battle-scarred dude from a different race, but cartoon character? I don't see it.

 

@PrayingMantis: I agree I really do prefer that trailer pic a bit... but maybe once we get to see him more than just the few shots we have... we shall see.

Different strokes different folks I think he looks wonderful and you can clearly tell he's qunari it's not like the whole race got another major make over like from DAO to DA2

His unique attitude as a Qunari attracted me just as much as his unique look.    Garrus said "women love the scars". For Bull though it's more like "everyone loves the scars." >D Because he loves everyone and of course, he's just confident like that.

I'm one of those people who liked DA 2's  anime looks, but I prefer Inquisition art style from what I've seen.

Oh and when Lady Insanity interviewed David Gaider, she asked him what character he would romance. He said it is kind of weird thinking about it because he wrote some of the characters and they feel like his children in a way. But he said he would go with Iron Bull. #GaiderRidingTheBull

Oh I totally agree with you there. I actually wasn't a huge fan of the overall style either. A lot of returning character's looks were kinda... *blink blink* to me. I know DAO's engine made everyone sorta look similar, but I kinda preferred it to 2's in a way, everyone looked... I dunno... smoother? XD

 

And yes, I want scars too! >D And I'm pretty sure they were confirmed in the CC after the Raptur question thingy, so we can rejoice!
