Where it was stated tha the Arishock is supposed to be the strongest?The Arishok is supposedly supposed to be the "strongest" of the Antaam." Along with being its highest General
And it woudn't matter for IB. He left the Qun.

What he said. ![]()
Wasn't there some info suggesting IB was freakishly large though?

Hold up, Let me get the Quote...Having trouble locating it on the old site but i am fairly certain a Dev said that the Position was reserved for their best.
Will keep looking.

How about... every screen shot / concept art of him we've ever seen? ![]()

IB = freakishly large.
Arishok = freakishly large.
NEW CRACK THEORY: Iron Bull was supposed to be the next Arishok, but ran away because he didn't want the responsibility.
They'd make quite the horny couple
*ba-dum-chish*
If the Iron Bull left the Qun (rather than being born outiside it) I hope its because he thinks it is a great big pile of nonsense. An anti-Sten companion that frequently mocks the Qun and belittles its adherents would be quite amusing. I hope he revels in being a Tal-Vashoth.
I just wish we had a little more information on him. We know bugger all really about him and i'd really like to learn more.
I'm not sure if this idea has been proposed before, but I don't feel like double check the last 8 pages I missed to find out. Forgive me, I'm fighting off being sick and I'm getting ready to go to bed shortly.
Anyway, it's Tin Foil Hat Time! The Tal-Valshoth in the Hangman was more than just a weird NPC you could talk to. His very minor appearance in DA2 has been fleshed out and he's now he's going to be Iron Bull.
<takes off hat>
Good night guys.

Good night guys.
Maraas doesn't fight for causes.
Maraas doesn't fight for causes.
maybe he found one that suits him
While anything is possible I'd bet on Maraas and the Iron Bull being seperate characters.
Since the Tal-Vashoth apparently choose their own names, I have a feeling that Iron Bull isn't a nickname...it is his actual name.
IB = freakishly large.
Arishok = freakishly large.

How about this one; Iron Bull is in fact a former Arishok(predecessor to the Arishok from DA2).

Get well soon!
Also, as I could see this happening, Idon't think it's very likely that they are the same characters, though I have a feeling we'll see more of Maraas in Inquisition. Maybe he's involved with Iron Bull's mercenary background, in a way?
I've seen people speculating about what his class would be. I'm with the folks who think good ole Iron Bull is a warrior. That sword he's holding in concept art and the trailer seems to be a two-hander to me. Oh man, that guy's going to be a monster on the battlefield. On a side-note, I find it funny that the Arishok can go toe to toe with Hawkes of all classes and is probably the most physically imposing person in Dragon Age 2 yet he's classified as a rogue because he wields two weapons.
And maybe the ole Bull is going to be important. I mean, he WAS featured in the first trailer right along with Cassandra, Varric, and Morrigan. At the very least, I hope he isn't one of the companions that just seems to be along for the ride.
IB = freakishly large.
Arishok = freakishly large.

Interesnting theory... anyway i don't know if is the new style but i think IB is even more huge than Arishok ![]()
...or maybe IB ate the previous Arishok and was banished?
the horns do make me think of cows.... mmmmm.... steak

I agree with this. I'm hoping that every companion has a good reason to be along with the Inquisitor. Stumbling over a character and saving them from <Insert enemies here> which they're cornered by is a generic NPC introduction to the PC.
We need big, dramatic and purposeful introductions to each companions! Preferably involving glitter, sass and a catty fashion observation from Vivienne in particular.

Agreed, though DAII did a pretty good job of having the companion's introductory moments be badass. On the other hand, you could have cut Fenris and (to an extent) Merrill out of the game and it would have had no impact at all on the plot. So I totally want less of "this companion is here to give you a tank/healer/DPS/etc." and more of "this companion is here for IMPORTANT REASONS and just happens to be a tank/healer/DPS/etc".
Speaking of roles, why do people suspect Iron Bull is a rogue? He looks totally warrior to me.
To make an assumption, I'd say because people are thinking there's going to be a 3-3-3 class split and they're trying to hold out on Cullen being one of the warriors. Some people are saying the same thing about the Beard Warden.
I just want IB to ram someone like a bull. He could easily impale someone on one of those horns, right? ![]()
