I'm really hoping the Iron Bull romance isn't too much like the Zevran romance mostly the part where Zevran mentions a few times about preferring women to Wardens trying to romance him no mater which gender. Though I did like Zevran's romance I have lacked the drive to complete it as a male Warden. I wouldn't mind slight differences in Iron Bull's dialog depending on your Inquisitors gender but please no 'I really prefer X over Y'
He's bi. Why would he not take about sleeping with woman. It's not like he never talks about sleeping with men.

Yeah I hated this a lot, I hope Bull doesn't mention having a preference. Why did they even write that dialogue in for Zevran? I feel like they did that just to make him seem as straight as possible (despite being bisexual) to avoid backlash, I can't think of any other reason. It's pretty awkward when he says that to a male Warden when you are just starting to romance him. And like you said about dialogue changes, I think it would be fine if it was a bit different, but not like in DA2 where Anders avoided talking about Karl to female Hawke. I don't really understand why Bioware chose to do that either. Anders, Zevran and Iron Bull are all attracted to men as well as women, I don't understand why they would need to hide that for female players (or like Zevran, mention having a preference for women). If players can't accept the fact that they are bisexual/pansexual, they shouldn't romance them in the first place.
But I do feel like it will be different in Inquisition because theres three straight male characters for female Inquisitors to romance (well, depending on race), there doesn't need to be any 'playersexual' romances or dialogue this time round, not that it was really necessary to include it in previous games anyway.

Well, maybe Zevran talked more about women... because he liked women a bit more?
Being bisexual/pansexual doesn't mean one can't have preferences
It's sort of like Isabella's romance, she had better bonding with female Hawke, in a way and generally reacted to girls much more... friendly, I guess
I ain't sure what to expect from the Bull. I think he won't care much about the gender. Though I do expect him to hit on the Inquisitor even if we don't flirt with him. In a totally respectful way, though. When it comes to Patrick Weekes, this is the writer I am, like, 100% sure would never write a positive character crossing the line between a flirt and a blatant sexual harassement

I think the thing with Isabela was that men probably never really took her seriously. They see her as some lust object and then just toss her aside when they had their way with her. Woman often tend to be more gentle and serious, which is probably why she had beter experiences with them.
They took her seriously and respected her.

What if he doesn't talk about his sexual conquests in detail, like at all? I mean do I look like I care how many people you've slept with before? Do I look like I care who they were, what they looked like and the story behind why you bedded them? I don't Zevran, so shut the hell up.

I rather not hear about any "sexual conquests" period from our bi companions. A Karl here, a Marjolaine there, bumping into a past ex, that's fine enough for me. I just don't particularly enjoy hearing a partner go on and on about an ex or a particular sex when you're in a romance. People also don't enjoy the "dead spouse/girlfriend" trope in these romances. They both verge toward that same direction of meaning: many do not enjoy hearing their partner talk on and on about their ex, especially on a word budget.

I wonder how the others will react when IB and PC are seeing each other often? ;D
I'm anticipating a lot of teasing banter. For example, Sera asking the Inquisitor if she's bought a saddle for the Bull yet. ![]()
Oh, and I hope Varric gets some lines regarding the romance! I died when he talked about Fenris sweeping Hawke off of his/her feet in DA2, and the Iron Bull seems very much the feet-sweepy sort. ![]()

Agreed 100%. Zevran was just too.......focused on that for me. I like those type of characters (and people in real life, too). I'm just not terribly interested in them on a romantic level. It's probably why I love Isabela and sort of dislike Zev. She was always just a funny, raunchy "bro" to me, so it wasn't a big deal if she was really focused on sexual innuendos.
I have a feeling that IB will be less focused on that Isabela and Zev. I think it will be a character development point to a degree (probably early on to establish his character), but I don't think he'll be like them in that way. I'm hoping that they play him differently, just for variety's sake.

Isabela was probably one of my best friends. God damn, she was a good character.

I genuinely felt affection for that character. She was awesome. This one playthrough, I wasn't focused on making sure that I maxed her friendship and when she left with the tome (and didn't return), I was gutted. I ended up scrapping that playthrough altogether. An Act III without Isabela is no Act III in my book!

It took me probably four playthroughs before I actually managed to get her stay for Act 3. Damn, it was mind numbingly hard for me to keep her around those first three times, and I don't know why. I especially loved her relationship with Aveline in Act 3 though.

Loving the Bela love going on here.
She's one of my favorite DA characters ever, and while I do hope Bull is different with his own unique personality I wouldn't mind at all if they shared some traits, such as being able to joke about just about anything and lighten up the mood.

I wonder if we'll meet Isabela and if we do how the Bull will react. She doomed many of his brothers with her act of greed so I hope the author won't just ignore it

To be honest his VA interview had a line about him sleeping with everyone... So I doubt he won't talk about sex quite often

So just because you have sex with a bunch of people you automatically have to talk about it to everyone?

I'm wondering if his amorous ways are going to be a plot point in his romance? I think it would be interesting to have flirted with him, only to see him later on enjoying himself with some random NPC in the Keep. It's not like flirting should equal commitment, or he should be expected to turn celibate the second we indicate some level of interest.
I'm not saying he's a cheater (you wouldn't be in a serious relationship yet), just that until the romance reaches that "critical mass" point where feelings start becoming involved I wouldn't mind him carrying on his carousing ways as long as my Quizzie can act jealous, sad, or heck...join in. It would be interesting to see if that appeals or turns off players.

I'm thinking he's the kind of guy who isn't going to boast about his lovelife unprovoked, but if it comes up he won't be ashamed to talk about it.

I would be really happy if that happened and I had the option for my PC not to be jealous at all.

Yeah, I mean, you take people for who they are, not expect them to change instantly just because you walked into their lives. I do think it's preferable if you only get conversation about past romances if you intentionally ask, though, so people can choose how much they find out.

It just doesn't fit his personality based on everything we know
I doubt he'll talk only about sex but I am sure that he'll mention being flirty with some pretty women or men. Cuz, well, he loves sex so why not?

I have a hunch he may be pretty quiet about such things until he gets drunk at a tavern, then he'll say anything he wants.
