Maybe IB likes less nice Quizzies? If so, I'm glad because he's getting my sarcastic and cynical dwarf who solves conflicts using armies, assassins, and blackmail.

My immediate thought:
It's official. Nickelback is the band for Iron Bull's playlist. In my mind, anyway. And yes, I know that song is a cover for ZZ Top, but I think it captures the right sound for the Big Guy.
Maker please anything but Nickleback! Just anything but them.......

I'm resisting the urge to go back and like nearly every post in this thread. Also, I love the fact that he's being played by the same guy who played Vega in Mass effect as he is one of my favorite characters from the series.

I hope he has a lot of Miranda like ass shots. My rights as a homosexual will be violated otherwise.
YAAASSS!!! Booty shots are the greatest and if its a shot of IB, well it just makes it all the sweeter. ![]()

Same here. He's getting my human necromancer who won't be completely cruel but not necessarily nice either, and a bit crazy and willing to do whatever it takes to win.
Figured they'd be an interesting pair.

It would be spoilery to explain WHY I am hunting gurguts to make Bull love me, but there you go. #AssQuisitor

Have done Skyhold in Chantry colors, save throne, which is Qunari style, so whenever I sit, am symbolically riding the Bull. #AssQuisitor
Hmm, Iron Bull has interesting demands, it seems.

The heck's a gurgut? Can you eat it? Does it make good leather? Does he just hate the fact that they live?

So is it IBs personal quest that requires all gurguts to be slaughtered or is it just a questline that happens to give him large approval

Ooh maybe we use their hides to craft a gift for him!
Maybe gurguts killed the priest or priestess that raised him.

"Hunting gurguts"... yes, it might be some kind of metaphor.

Hunting shops for a rare qunari pleasure toy called a Gurgut.
Goodness.

I have a question:
Since Iron Bull is surely not his real qunari name/role and he is an agent of the Ben Hassrath...
Is Iron Bull (a) Tallis?
And what if he meets another Tallis (like Tallis)? What do they call each other?

I wonder too. One of the first things that came to me when I met Sten in Origins as well. I'm not good on Qunari lore, so I'm interested in this as well.

See, I don't think he's a Tallis. Tallis was a thief and assassin. Iron Bull's a long term under cover operative. "Tallis" means "to solve"; Iron Bull isn't solving anything, he's providing them with a steady stream of information.
I think their duties are disparate enough that they'd be considered two separate roles within the qun.

Well, only a few roles are meant to be gender neutral apparently, iirc, so if Bull's Qunari name is one we already know, it's probably Salit. We don't know what that means though, unfortunately. We know Tallis means 'to solve', and since Salit is almost an anagram of Tallis, and given Salit's previous connection to Tallis, and it's still a Ben-Hassrath role, I'd hazard a guess that it does mean something similar. It's kind of a shame Salit was Tal-Vashoth, because we don't even get much of an indication of his role.
I've wanted to know Iron Bull's Qunari name since we found out he was still Qunari. Especially since Rasaan made a big deal about names in the comics. My theory is that we'll only find out towards the end of the romance, (maybe the friendmance), as the Inquisitor truly earns his trust.

Hmm, could be. According to his character profile he was part of an anti terrorism unit on Seheron before went to the mainland as an agent. That could fall under "to solve", but then his role/name likely changed.
I guess we don't know enough about the Ben Hassrath at this point.
Anyway, it's kind of hard to wrap your head around these qunari "names" especially when they change.
For example: The sentence "Sten is the Arishok." is technically wrong, because he is not Sten anymore. Correct would be "Arishok is Arishok.", i guess, but that sentence is basically useless. I'm getting dizzy. ![]()

Additionally, since Salit is already Tal vashoth when we meet him, that might not be his role, but an actual chosen name.
