My 9 year-old relative recently said that he wanted to be a male qunari necromancer, who romances the Iron Bull. I was sooooo close to giving him a high-five and exclaiming "Ride the Bull!".
He must be a pretty mature 9 year old lol. I wonder what the Qunari views on homosexuality are like? Is it any different from other cultures I wonder.
Yes, I believe they are most likely against it more for pragmatic reasons than anything else since they only use sex for breeding. When I say this I'm only thinking of those in the Qun, of course, though.
Personally I don't think the Qunari would have any words for various sexualities. Male qunari mate with female qunari when the Qun demands it. That is not to say that members of the Qun don't express sexuality just that they have no actual term for it because it is irrelevant. They don't have physical relationships (as far I know with the information I have accumulated) with individuals they are attracted to or connect with. However, I do believe most of their interpersonal relationships are between members of the same sex because their "family unit" consists of their "coworkers" who are most likely the same gender. They probably come to depend upon and love (in a sense) those they work closely with but love and sex seem to have a disconnect within the Qun society.
This could play a role in Iron Bulls' view on sex. He enjoyed it when the Qun demanded it but now he can enjoy it as often and with whoever he wants leading to the exploration and discovery of his sexuality.
So seeing as there's Qunari Vitaar in this character's inventory even though the player isn't a Qunari, I wonder if we can use it for Iron Bull too.

That would be something I would enjoy asking Bull about. I don't really agree with the Qun but I would like to learn more about it for curiosity's sake. I wonder if he'll like talking about it to others.

The QUN is not about change, but obedience.... so if you really wanted victory for the qun, you would quietly obey the lack of hair options for a qunari inquisitor

The Qun is about finding your proper place in society. Doing so is impossible without good hair.

Hmm, I remember reading somewhere (pretty sure it was just speculation, not any official info) that there might actually be some homoromantic relationships between the Qunari - just not sexual ones, as sex for any other purpose than procreation (with the authorities' permission) is seen as useless and is therefore discouraged. But the Qunari soldiers (who are all, or at least mostly, male), for example, are known to develop very close bonds to each other, so who's to say some of their relationships couldn't be romantic in nature as well. I don't think they mind, as long as your feelings don't keep you from fulfilling your role.

See, the implication I always got was that Seamus was in love with Ashaad but that it didn't go anywhere beyond him following Ashaad around like a puppy.

Yeah, that's the takeaway on the matter I remember as well. Somewhere I think I even saw developer/writer support for a theory of Sten having those romantic feelings for the Warden, but not acting on it, which I assume has to do with him being a follower of the Qun and the Warden not, as well as perhaps not being able to put it into words like that.

Which could partly explain Sten wrestling with the idea of what gender the Warden was if you're a woman in DAO (that was always a very "who's on first" kind of conversation).
