Well, he has a bizarrely tiny head. I'm sure some people would be unsettled by it.

And if I could turn down companions and their content, I'd be fine with Iron Bull... but I just bloody can't, I have to know what his plot and what he's about. I never kill any companions either.

I can understand finding it weird looking, but I guess I just can't really understand why people would choose to lose out on content because they find the character unattractive. Oh well, to each their own. Myself, I'm too curious to ever turn anyone down or kill them as well. Even characters I don't really like too much, like Oghren or Sebastian.

I am really interested to see what Bull is all about.  His relationship with my first Inquisitor could go in so many different ways.

They could end up being lovers and best friends, to a love-hate relationship, to bitter rivals and (if possible) death for Bull.

It all depends on how deep his loyalty is to the Qun, and whether or not he is able to let go of his ties to the Qun and pledge full loyalty to the Inquisition.  Gah, the myriad of possibilities and the complete uncertainty of whether or not my Inquisitor will get along with him is very interesting.  Bull is in a unique spot among the companions for me.

Can't wait to see what happens.

Yep, I think many people are very curious about him and what exactly he's all about. I'm hoping there is a lot of variety on what can happen with him and the Qun/Inquisition depending on the actions the Inquisitor takes. My completely wild guess is that he might kinda be like Zevran where if you ****** him off he may betray you in the end but if you become close he'll betray his people for you, if they try to hurt you.

Just finished watching Scooby Doo with my nephews and I must say FPJ is so much cuter now after seeing all his DA tweets and Under the Horns video.

I'm so curious how he'll react to my qunari quizzy. Will they bicker about the qun?

I wonder if his personal story will be some mission he has to do for the Qunari which will lead to a potential conflict with quizzy depending on your attitude to the qun. Or mebbe he'll have to make a tough choice! :o

Hm, that would be interesting, however I'd like a more hands on approach. I'd like to confront him myself and perhaps even give him an ultimatum depending on his actions.

A cool scenario would be to have the Inquisition's agents capture a group of suspicious Qunari and bring them to Skyhold for questioning.  Upon interrogating them from my throne, I discover that they are Ben Hassrath spies that have ties to my very own Iron Bull. I then get the choice to either imprison them for further questioning at a later date, or to execute them on the spot.

After a decision is made, I then get to confront Bull about all this spying nonsense (or even secretly have Leliana's people keep tabs on Bull to inform me of any more dealings he may be having with the Ben Hassrath. That would be cool.) Ultimately, I would have to put my foot down on this issue. If Bull refuses to cut ties with the Qun, I'd like a way to keep him from ever giving away the Inquisition's secrets, which would mean his death because sending him away with all the knowledge he's gained simply will not do.

If he is willing to cut ties with the Qun, then our relationship can be a very good one indeed.

Of course this is my wishlist. We may not be getting anything this involved and detailed in game.

Also, it perplexes me that the Qunari would condone Bull becoming a mercenary- something that the Qun supposedly loathes. The Arishok calls Maraas a "living insult" for being a sell-sword if Hawke tells him about him.

I don't see why people want to give all the characters ultimatums. Sure I want to have an influence on what they do but I want them to live there own lives & make there own decisions.

I want the big guy to come to terms with everything on his own. I refuse to force him to give up the qun. If he is destined to leave me at the end then so be it. Sad endings can be good as well.

Don't leave me, Iron Bull! I need you!!!

I agree with this. If Iron Bull or any other character gives up a view that they found important, I'd rather it be their own personal decision instead of my Inquisitor forcing it on them; maybe my Inquisitor would give a little convincing, but not force. If there have to be cut ties later on in the game, depending on the playthrough style I'm going for, then so be it. Perhaps later on, I could try a force approach just to see what that would be like, but not on my first playthrough.

Anyway! I think Iron Bull is one of the more interesting companions out of what I've looked through so far. I'm very interested to see what Iron Bull's opinions will be about the Qun, considering his past traumas and his time away from a Qunari-dominated area. Admittedly, I kind of fell off of the wagon of information quite a while back when the game had been pushed back, but I'm seriously excited for the release.

When I roleplay my characters, I tend to go to town.  Even if it means having them make decisions that make me cringe while I make them.  Giving Fenris back to Danarius and allowing Meredith to impale Bethany with her sword were not happy moments, but they were intense and allowed my to see different sides of the story.  ( I did those things once, and never again.)

Personally, I really dislike the Qun, so having my first Inquisitor hate it with passion will be natural for me. He will make decisions based on the character that I give him, even if it means doing extreme things.  I have a dwarf Inquisitor planned on my 2nd or 3rd playthrough that will absolutely fall head over heals in love with Bull and will not let Bull's ties to the Qun affect him at all.

Making vastly different types of characters and roleplaying them as intensely as the game allows lets me get the most out of DA games.

Oh, they were both extremely hard for me to go through with.  I felt filthy after giving Fenris away, but that's what the Hawke I was playing at that time would have done.

Bethany's death scene was just so *hard* to watch.

But if the option is there, I'm gonna try it at least once. Same goes for DA:I. If there are extremely difficult or heart wrenching decisions to make, I'll try them at least once just to experience them first hand.

You choose to kill Dorian...and there will be some harsh words.

Honestly I doubt that will be possible. If it is, I may have to make an exception for Dorian.   :)

Bull and Cole had better be on their best behavior though. :)

I explore a lot of options, but there are some things, like giving Fenris back to Danarius, that will be forever Youtube-only for me.

Yeah, I only did that while RPing a psycho mage who was as extreme as Anders.

Bethany's fate was the result of a polar opposite psycho Templar Hawke playthrough.

Basically I was trying to be as extreme as everyone else in Kirkwall was.

This is pretty much how I feel and will play, but I can understand the other way as well. Depends on what kind of character you play, I suppose. I won't be forcing him into or out of anything, I want to see the decisions he makes based on his own true feelings. For the first playthrough, at least. :P

Awww... it would be great if IB and Dorian fall for each other, if the Inquisitor doesn't romance either... They are already rebels to their home cultures, might as well add a forbidden love story to their lives...

So does anyone else keep picturing your poor Inquisitor getting accidentally knocked senseless by those horns?  I keep thinking about how my bf and I occasionally punch or knee each other while we sleep and imagining that with a giant dude with horns and just... ouch.  :crying:

^Now you got me thinking about how Bull can realistically *only* sleep on his back due to the formation of his horns. What if he gets uncomfortable?  He can't sleep on his side at all, nor on his stomach unless he buries his face in his pillow.

I shall cut a hole in his bed (and pillow) just big enough for him to fit his horn through so he can sleep on his side, poor dude. :P or maybe I'll just build him a netted hammock.
