Really? Aw man, that's disappointing. Though I suppose it doesn't really matter who writes him as long as he's written well. And if he is, then having a new writer to keep an eye on would be cool.

 

But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried by this revelation

 

Hey...at least the Iron Bull has a better shot than the Beard Warden at the moment, both at being a companion AND a love interest.

 

Which is sad. I've wanted a more experienced, gruff, bearded human warrior since my Origins days.

 

Honestly I'm not holding much hope on Iron Bull being a love interest (as heartbreaking as that is ) since according to Greg Ellis' tweets Cullen is a companion and very likely a love interest. And Solas is more likely than IB or BW as an LI, if Bioware continues to adhere to their tried and true methods

I think they said he was a Tal-Vashoth for sure. He is a leader of a Mercenary Band, after all. I'm REALLY excited about the Iron Bull. I'm definitely having him on my team and i'm hoping my Qunari Mage gets super tight with him and we do have a lot of talks about Qunari stuff. I hope he's pro-mage.

EDIT: I may consider romancing him, but we don';t even know if you can romance him, much less same-sex romance him.

I'm really hoping that we get 3 LIs, round out the choices. For human male( seems like Cullen at this point) Solus and Iron Bull.

And I second the suggestion for Steve Blum, that man is awesome.

Oh, definite yes on Steve Blum   I'm most familiar with his work in the cartoons I watch with my kids, lol.  If his voice can make me have a crush on an alien robot, then I can only imagine what it'd do to me in DA:I >.>

I love Khal Drogo, and now that you mention it, Iron Bull does have some Drogo-ish vibes. Particularly the size, mercs, and partying aspects. (okay, so the Dothraki are a nation, not a merc group, and they rape, pillage and burn instead of party, but schematics).

Speaking of horses, I wonder if Iron Bull's horse will scale to his size? Like, he gets this huge clydesdale and everyone else gets ponies/regular horses. I'm curious about this because every game I drag my friends into, they complain that their horse/mount is too small for their Iron Bull-sized character.
