I don't know why...but...I don't want to romance him with another Qunari(somehow I find that too boring) but instead I want to romance him with...DWARF!

Well, with the consistency of the missing finger(tip) thing I'm starting to think it's more than mere coincidence, and I wouldn't be surprised if Mike was just joking around the issue to be silly, which I've seen him and other devs do before. If it does end up true, he wasn't "insulting our intelligence", that's a bit dramatic... he was just playing around. Plus, "not missing any digits" is a clever work-around because missing fingertips don't count as missing a whole digit.

I haven't used the "You're not seeing what you're seeing!" joke since first grade, personally speaking.

Well, they have said some silly things before, so that's why I could believe it. :P Anyway, I guess only time will tell if it's just a coincidence that those three different images have had the same misinterpretation from people.

Mike said something similar when someone on twitter asked about the Orlesian ball scene. I think he's just being jokingly evasive and trying to save some things for the player to discover in game.

I think romancing Bull as another Qunari, would leave some interesting conversations. Tho Bull's very dangerously close to being a Tal-vashoth, could you fully turn him (Harden?) to become such. Ooor? Can your Qunari be converted to the Qun? Perhaps, altho Bull's a sexually healthy Pan, maybe he never felt for a male Qunari. And the Inquisitor's his first male.

Plus, we may get to learn more about the Qun, and the Qunari... Btw, I'm curious if Bull's Arishok is ---

I'm hoping there's a lot of variety on which way his character can go regarding the Qun, so characters who don't want to steer him from it can be happy as well as those who like Bull but can't stay with him in the Qun (such as a mage). And I'm curious about that as well, and kind of hoping for it.

See, that's what bugs me about mages in the Qun. To hear Sten talk about it, as Alistair states, the more reasonable it seems. However go to DA2, you see how they treat mages horribly. If possible to convert later ingame, I'd convert if my Qunari was a warrior, but not as a mage. T_T my poor Qunari will feel like an ME3 Cerberus agent, and the assassin to kill him would be like Jack.       Joker: "OOO AND that was Cerberus too. That must been like Christmas for her."

So, converting to the Qun as a mage, is basically a kick to the ass with a rusty spiked boot. However, Bull's a top Qunari merc and spy, so if you were a female Qunari warrior convert. The Qunari might allow it a temporary relationship, with the possibility of creating strong future soldiers. Either way, I'd find a Qunari/Qunari romance quite interesting.

Bull is a Ben-Hassrath a priest not a soldier. He would answer to the Ariqun and be authorized to teach the Qun to converts.

He doesn't seem to be that into proselytizing... I understand he is of the Qun, but I doubt he'll be attempting to convert many characters.

Maybe just the Inquisitor...

Mr. Weekes has stated that the big guy strongly believes in the qun but will not go out of his way to convert anyone. What I personally hope for is that deep into the romance we have the option of asking Bull if his feelings are real or if he is just playing another role. Maybe during a personal quest of his we can began to doubt his true feelings for you. The Inquisitor can even break down into tear & Iron Bull will take you into his arms & hols you tight will he.........calls you a pansy. I.....I don't want this mushy stuff I want the sex. Raunchy & nasty! I'm totally using him for his body!

:'( don't leave me bull I love you.......

I think they've already made it clear that Bull is not a typical fanatic, who we may have encountered in the previous games. I believe things he might share with the Inquisitor about the qun and his beliefs will be reasonalbe, or at least make sense. In a way, this also might be bioware's attempt to show us positive sides of the qun or at least to convince us of another side to it through this companion. I'm anticipating more insight into their culture, that they'll make it deeper and more controversial than what we saw in DA2.

Wait, wait, the qunari were shown only negatively in the previous games? What?

I'm pretty sure Sten and Arishok found many sympathisers among the fans

Sten said one of my favorite lines when you find the ashes of Andraste. "Congratulations, you found a waste bin."

I loved Sten in DAO, I had one conversation and my approval went from 0 to 26. I was like WTF? Sten's an easy character to friend and like. I actually liked the Arishok, and fully saw where he was coming from about the filth that was Kirkwall. Only Qunari I hate if any was Arvavraad I think was his name. He sounded... Likeable? But Even after I gave him back the Qunari mage he tried killing me. Personally, I like the Qunari and the Qun, just not how the execute curtain outcomes.

I find Bull's voice kinda weird in videos showcasing him so far. Probably because I find the Arishok's voice in DA2 to be perfect for a big bad ass Qunari.

Sten is awesome. I had to learn how to befriend him though, by sticking up for myself in conversation instead of getting too feelsy. I liked how differently he responded compared to the other characters, he was a good intro lesson into how the Qunari think and act. :P I'll judge anyone not by their race or religion but their personality so there's been Qunari I've loved like him, and some others not so much, haha.

I think a lot of people were imagining it to be deeper, but I actually kind of like his voice. I think I'll prefer it over a typical huge muscleman hulk voice. The Arishok's voice was awesome though, perfect for his character. :3

I think it is easy to forget not all qunari that live part of the Qun are like Sten and the Arishock. The most enlightening moment for me was taking Sten to the Circle and seeing his old comrades who were fun loving, care free guys. I like to think Iron Bull has always been more like them. One of the things cool about him to me is he is still part of the Qun and has the personality he does. Can't wait.

I wonder if conversations with the Iron Bull will make me as cautious as I was talking to Sten and the Arishok... Oh, and it took a while, but I like his voice now.

With the Qunari stance on mages, I wouldn't be surprised if 'converted' bas saarebas are killed outright. They've spent their entire lives unsupervised by the arvaarad, so how could they safely say that they are not inhabited by a demon?

At least, that's what seems to be implied by the arvaarad's strong reaction to the return of Ketojan, and the possible reveal of either Hawke or someone in his party being a mage; bas saarebas are killed for the 'greater good.'

TL;DR even if you wanted to, I don't think you could convert to the Qun as a mage for the sake of Bull.

No, no, no Kierro's not converting (if it's a later possibility). I don't want him beheaded, so he'll show Bull another way of life. My Alt Qunari however, will be an archer, not a mage, and will join the Qun if possible. It's understandable, not agreeable, but understandable how the Qun works.

I'm sure a lot of people liked them. Both characters are interesting with a little insight into their actions and thinking. But it is a fact that quinari are feared in Thedas and not without a reason.  Remember when Tallis says "not every Qunari is a soldier" when explaining that innocent Qunari people like farmers or artisans might suffer. So by saying that she already admits that the military type is kinda evil, she doesn't consider them innocent. I think it's their rigidness that made it negative (at least for me). When Arishok decided that either everyone in Kirkwall joined the qun or died, for instance. Or when sten says you are a woman and you're not supposed to fight, or if you're born a farmer you do that for the rest of your life etc. Yea, Arishok was pissed and his speech was kinda explicit but also impulsive, what I haven't noticed about the qunari (remember sten and his poker face all the time). Also, while Sten could be your friend he says that the qunari might soon invade. Although he specifies that he wouldn't look for you on the battlefield which warms the heart and makes me be like "sten mah homeboy" does-someone-need-a-hug-o.gif but he pretty much agrees that he would do anything the qun asked. Some might agree that their way of thinking has a reason, but for free Fereldan people being a slave to the fate, or your masters (if you're a Qunari mage) or your outranking officer is a little bit off. Personally, I dont like the Qunari belief but it is really interesting that something like that is in the game and I'd love to learn more about it. I'm not going to touch the sensitive topic of religions in general, I'll just say that this particular one, from what I've seen so far, is aimed at making you passive, submissive to the arishok or some other high ranking officer.

And in my initial post i never said the Qunari were only poraited negatively in previous games. So I dunno where you read that. I only specified that what was shown, to me wasn't explicit enough and that i'm anticipating more insight. The bits that we find about the belief are too rare and too rigid and the latter is naturally percieved as negative when it takes such forms as Arishok implied in DA2. The whole concept or portrayal of the Qunari religion within the game and its universe is percieved as evil by its characters (who are not of the Qun, of course). We can't deny that, there's a lot of proof for it. But players are free to think whatever they want and  have any opinion.
