I don't know if you guys listened to the FPJ interview with Nerd Appropriate, but I've been kind of worried about the IB preferring women thing since that, because at one point he was talking about Bull flirting and he said something like "oh yeah, Bull when chicks are around....."

But both of those are from him...so it could just be him focusing on the female flirts because he's straight. Shrug. Agreeing with everyone that I'd be very disappointed if that turns out to be the case.

i just to throw in my two cents but i would also be really really uncomfortable and annoyed if IB has a large preference to females, i remember 

FPJ tweeted a while ago about the subject of nicknames for the inquisitor and he said he had one for Her not them (sorry i don't have twitter so can't track it down),i'm hoping it's just because Freddy is straight so he's only talking about the females and not because bull favors girls.

i always find it uncomfortable romancing Zevran with a male warden because of the way he states he prefference and i really hope Bulls romance doesn't leave me with the same kind of feeling.

 

also hi long time lurker first time poster in this thread and i'm really looking forward to Bull

Even though I have a feeling I'll be romancing him with mostly female characters I'm really hoping Iron Bull does not have a strong preference for women over men or at least not one that he will voice to you often while flirting with him like Zevran did. I do not mind LIs having preferences but it would be kind of rude to male Inquisitors flirting with him if he was 'Yeah I really like ladies more but you're cool too'.

I think I saw someone at Bioware suggest that Sten might have had a hidden crush on the Warden. They didn't confirm it, but said it was a possibility. I quite like the idea of that, and he didn't even mention it because he's so faithful to the Qunari. Also means that he would probably be bisexual or pansexual which is pretty cool. 

 

Edit: Although Sten does call Shale kadan as well   She's gonna have to get in line.

I always saw Sten and pretty much any qunari faithfully loyal to their lifestyle as asexual panromantic. Especially Sten. I mean, Morrigan (the hot chick without bra) hits on him many times, Zevran makes a comment and he's not interested whatsoever... yet he is attached to Warden and Shale (and I'm pretty sure he's aware of her crush on him XD)

But, that's Iron Bull's thread, so, hmm, Iron Bull

Thanks.  Yeah, looks like it.

 

I think this seems a bit off, but only because we've not seen Bull using Qunlat at all.  It makes sense that he would know it.  Maybe that's a bit of a clue as to his view on the Qun.  Maybe he feels closer to it than it would appear on the surface.

One thought on the Iron Bull preferring females question - perhaps his lack of hitting on Blackwall/Cullen/Varric has more to do with him realizing and respecting their orientations.  I know my femquizzies would love to get with Dorian, but I will refrain from hitting on him out of respect for who he is.  Now IB opting out of crushing on Dorian seems just wrong - who cares if Tevinter and the Qunari are mortal enemies?  That mage is hot.

I think it might have been Mary Kirby...anyway, for sure they said something along the lines of, "Sten's romance is there if you squint pretty hard."

His comments towards towards the Warden at the end of the game take on a certain quality of platonic intimacy.

Hmm, the dwarf I was going to make for him was going to be ginger, but then it was confirmed we're Carta and the idea morphed into something wasn't interested in. Maybe I should reconsider his elf's brunette-ness now... But maybe that comment would seem weird if my Quizzy's actually a redhead...
