Noticed how it said "Start" a romance with Iron Bull, makes me wonder what the rest of the romance will entail.  Also Am I the only one that noticed the concerned tone in IB voice? Kinda like "I wanna, but I don't want to hurt you" (physically) tone of voice.

I wish I could draw. I would totally draw cutsey romantic-like pictures of Iron Bull and various Quizzies. The more I think about his romance the more excited I am to experience it. I have a feeling it will be very... different.

That concern in his voice proves that he his head over heels for the Inquisitor. Or he realizes if he kills her no one will be able to stop the Breach.

And what the romance will be like after? Surprise booty smacks and kisses in hidden corners at Skyhold!

HA!  That video gets my approval.  I love Bull for being Bull.  I love that sassy little dwarf Inquisitor.  She knew what she wanted.  Good for her.  And I think I might love the kid in the video for picking the "riding the bull" option on the sly.  He knew what he wanted too.

 

Some thoughts:

Yeah, it was "start romance", so I suspect that Bull will be another 'easy to bed, hard to romance' character.  If you want to actually romance him and not just bed him, it probably takes a lot more work.

 

Also, I do wonder if that scene plays out differently for other race/gender combos.  Would he really be concerned about 'hurting' another male qunari?

 

I know that there is a different romance scene between Bull and a male dwarf that a friend of mine saw.  I'm not sure if it's instead of this scene or if it's a later scene in the romance arc.  I'm interested though.

 

Finally, does anyone know if you can take your turn riding the Bull and still romance Dorian?  I'm interested for......purely academic purposes, of course......

I hope i'm not the only one that thinks the V.A-ing/scripting in this is kinda... Terrible.

I think the Inquisitor's voice actress isn't putting enough feeling into the scene. She sounds kind of... :\ I dunno. Just doesn't seem to fit right to me.

Lmao, adorably awkward vid (good on the dude in the video though). I was originally gonna roll Dorian/ElfWarrior on my first run but now I'm thinking of sticking to fCadash/Bull! Wonder what the other dialogue options will lead to - as others have suggested, maybe something sweeter?

 

Has anyone seen a video with the British female voice for Cadash, though? I know Sumalee Montano's American female voice is *meant* to fit dwarves and Qunari, and I'm sure she's incredible in other scenes, but there's something funny (to me, ymmv) about her romance lines here...

I wonder if this dialogue will proceed the same for non-dwarves.  I was pondering if he was so insistent because he was legitimately concerned about breaking her in half...or if that's just a new mechanic to alert the player that this will block off the other romances.

Maybe the latter? I'm not sure it would proceed the same for Adaar, as a fellow Qunari, though iirc there was something a while back about everyone of every race being smaller than Bull...Wonder if starting a relationship in general will block off others in the game for real though.

From what I've heard it seems that it indeed blocks off other romances, but you can still flirt (though who knows if this is with companions or NPCs?) and your LI will call you out on it.  That's why I'm thinking there was so many "are you sure? are you reeeeally really sure?" comments, though that could be entirely specific to Iron Bull breaking the sh!t out of you, haha.

Yeah, I think that the Bull will be like Zevran and Isabella in that it takes a lot of patience to get the Bull to actually fall in love with your character. That scene isn't very... intimate, like we've been led to believe the romance scenes will be. It would be pretty adorable (but annoying) if he was like Zevran and started trying to avoid the Quizze so he wouldn't have to talk about his feelings.

I've been guessing we would be able to have a fling with him, but I didn't catch the 'start romance' thing, if that's there, it makes me wonder since they said once you start a romance you're locked out of the others. I hope it's possible though.   

 

Well, my thoughts.. I agree I think his romance will be kinda like Zev's where it starts out mostly just a physical thing but evolves into a romantic thing. I think it will be sweet. I know some people are saying it was cheesy with bad writing, but I think it was intended that way because that's the way Bull is. Some people will love it, others won't. My favorite part is definitely

There were some tender looks/moments squeezed into the scene, but I agree that it was mostly just two people having fun.  I also happened to think the butt smacking and follow-up kiss was adorable.

I think my Inquisitor will be choosing the other dialogue options, though.  They sound like they'd be less hubba-hubba & more romantic.

 

I think considering the sheer length of the game that we'll be getting several romance-specific scenes (not necessarily sex).  Also, take note: this was the Start Romance scene!  This is where we first begin the love-arc with Bull.  I find it hard to believe that we won't have more sexy-times near the culmination of the arc where love starts taking priority.

Yep, there will definitely be more scenes involved in his romance, I'm sure. That's just the start. Can't wait to see how it evolves. I'm thinking the first character I romance him with will be choosing the less romantic lines at first but that will slowly change. xD I'm so happy it looks like we always have a choice on how to respond, that was one of my things about DA2 - sometimes the way Hawke responded during the romance scenes just wasn't my cup of tea. xP

Apparently one review said: "As is the case with most BioWare games, many previous choices are inescapable; encouraging my lover to make the world a better place ultimately led to our split." and according to the Solas thread posters, this reviewer was the same guy who was tweeting about romancing Bull.
