I wonder how much these scenes are going to change depending on your Inquisitor's race. Between Qunari/IB and the others in particular, because if I recall that's all there was at one point.

It could only be light BDSM, restraints and whatnot but I think there would be the option to turn him down if it was something he does propose.

He gives you multiple options to turn him away if you're not into it, but I didn't see an option to have vanilla sex instead, or to turn down the sex without breaking it off with him completely. Uh, I disagree. I didn't see anything in that scene that made it clear the PC would be agreeing to BDSM, so I'm assuming if it is indeed discussed it has to come up later.

I think it's too early to draw conclusions from that video (which someone mentioned in the other thread in Scuttlebutt might be edited to show parts from different scenes?) and that one comment in the article. We have no context for the video ie perhaps a discussion was had about such things before or there are different options or whatnot (and again, it might not even be the full scene) and the reviewer above only said one sentence. What one person thinks when they hear BDSM is not what another person thinks, for example.  I mean, I get that we want to put things together! I especially have become weirdly invested in this romance. It's been moved up on my list a lot in the past few weeks, lmao. But yeah....we'll know all of it soon enough.

I wouldn't think of someone wanting the uppe-rhand in the sack as being in anyway similar to BDSM. I think BDSM goes a lot deeper than that, physically, mentally and emotionally. But this is all just speculation on a minute and a half worth of vid so who really knows, right?

Ah, then we have had a misunderstanding. I think that if it goes any further than what we've seen then the Quizzie and Bull should talk about/negotiate it first, or at least be implied to do so, but that scene was on the much lighter end of BDSM from my point of view.

I don't think there will be whips and collars, fwiw. For one, we would have prob heard that from the ratings board review And those aren't inherent to BDSM type relationships.

after reading all of this a question rose up. In ME3 and DA2 you work on the relationship, and bed them once. Do you guys think that in this game you can bed them more then once? Because I have a feeling that they made the romances...'bigger?'

I think I remember reading an article at the beginning of inquisition's production about a female dev considering one of the romances rape so they changed it. I'm getting the feeling it was this one because the inquisitor has a few opportunities to say no, and the bull would be pretty intimidating if the scene weren't so hilarious.

On one hand: Qunari spy. The qunari fill me with rage and a desire to kill them with fire.

On the other hand: ....Assertive, sexually dominant with a sense of humor on the goofy side of funny.
