Wonder if the Iron Bull is going to be chased by Ben Hassrath...

He's going to be a problem if there's some Qunari around .

I've always gotten along with Qunari , well up to the point where I didn't , and I had to hit them on the head with my magical staff...It solved all my issues with the Arishok and Sten.

But I can't imagine things being friendly with Iron Bull in the party , if the Qunari don't go berseck , I bet he will.

 

If someone wants to force him back in the Qun , I'll save him in a heartbeat.

But I hope he won't ask to murder Qunari just because their very presence makes him feel opressed.

 

For me the Qun is extremely...well, extreme. The "problem" i have with it is that it is sometimes forced on people, and if that is the case, that someone is trying to make someone...convert...they will most likely be killed...by me. I don't care if it's a former follower of the Qun or not...so i agree with you on this. If they force it, they die, if they don't...then they may continue to smell the flowers

On the whole Qun oppression thing, I get the feeling he's got more of an "I don't care that you're there so long as you don't start crap with me" outlook on it. I don't think he'd go out of his way to take them out. This is just the impression that I get from that tiny blurb on his personality, mind you, so I could be totally wrong.

I suspect that might actually be part of the reason he started a mercenary band in the first place; I imagine he's intelligent enough to realize he can't wage a one-man war against the Qun to proactively prevent them from coming after him, so he decided to errect a buffer around himself.

Given that they've only done this ONCE so far, you're technically right.

I'd love SOMEONE new on Follower Friday, whether that's Iron Bull (who is my preference), Sera, DHMG, or our ninth as-yet-unrevealed companion. So long as it's not Cullen--we know enough about him. Whether he's a companion or not is irrelevant. I just want to learn something new about someone new.

They said it wouldn't be Cassandra or Varric for next Follower Friday. Isn't everyone else new? 

 

Anyway, looks like PAX confirmed Iron Bull as a two handed warrior and there's a 3/3/3 class distribution confirmed. We have a lot of warriors in the possible line up. Thoughts?

I guess people thought because grey warden looked like a warrior, that meant IB had to be a rouge? Or since he's an unconventional qunari, a rouge specialisation seemed to suit him more? Now does this mean no grey warden??? Because that would be 4 warriors.

Not necessarily. It could mean Cullen is an NPC, or some other scenario. It just means Iron Bull/Cassandra/Cullen/Warden can't all be on the team AND be warriors.

They haven't confirmed Cullen as a companion but they could use the follower Friday to do that. They already said it wouldn't be Cassandra or Varric. I figured it would most likely be Solas since he was confirmed but we don't know anything about him.

So basically there is just one warrior spot left then. Either the Grey Warden or Cullen.

Well, they confirmed Iron Bull as a "two hander" at PAX, but no word yet on if they actually called him a companion. So far, Cassandra is our only 100% confirmed warrior companion.

It did, but the later revelation that a lot of that was incorrect has caused people to doubt pretty much everything in it.

For the Cullen/ Grey warden thing i would say that we have seen GW in-game, Cullen we have not. GW was also in the companion customitation (spelling?) thingy...

 

As for the IB being a two handed warrior..yay, just what we needed . Now for the LI spot lol...

Right now I'm just more annoyed at Bioware's handling of releasing information about this game. I understand that they need to hold quite a bit back, and I'm fine with that, but their refusal to give us anything thing so much as "who else is on our party besides these three" is playing the cards annoyingly close to the chest.

Seconded. The fact that it comes out in anywhere from 5-7 months and we still don't have a release date when most games would have had preorders open months ago is also frustrating. This is the first bioware game I've followed before release, but I feel like this isn't the norm.

It's especially annoying because so much of their promotion has been for the game engine, the enviroments, and the graphics, which are all amazing, but the fact is I don't play Bioware games for any of that, I play for the characters and the story, and that's what they're holding back on.

 

Honestly at this point my reaction to new information about companions isn't "OMG Finally I'm so excited!" Rather, it's "It's about bloody time." That isn't the reaction I feel I should be having.
