So I saw this romance guide for the LIs in Inquisition...

 

I have to say it's description of Bull's romance and how to continue it is disappointing to me. It doesn't sound at all like there'll be any 'fluffy' moments. I don't expect or want a relationship with Bull to be filled with hearts and cherubs, but something sweet every now and then would be nice... It doesn't sound like we'll get that.

I dunno. For what it's worth and from what I've seen, I think he's kinda cute. The guide didn't mention any details, they just tell you how to get characters attantion. They said close to nothing about Dorian's personality and how his romance feels like, when in reality it gives people so many feels they can't cope.  So you'll have to see it for yourself in-game to decide whether you like someone or not.

The thing is, it sounds more scary than it is in reality. Don't imagine things before you've seen it! Especially if you hav a vivid imagination, it'll give you wrong ideas.   I've seen two scenes with the Bull already, it's not creepy. It's not a hardcore porn, it's a Bioware game, have some faith.

Every character will want you to accept him/her for what he/she is, not only Bull. You have to share at least some of their views, and some are vital for relationship.

I'm trying to keep an open mind until I finish his romance myself, but I've also got some misgivings when I was originally really excited about him as an LI. I'm just not sure if his dynamic is what I'm looking for. I'm starting to doubt that he'll put a fight to Dorian when it comes to my canon LI.

@Yermogi: I wouldn't take that very summarized version of IB's romance as something to judge it entirely on. It was basically only saying the necessities to make sure you do the romance properly, everything else, like details was left out. Same goes for all the other ones in there if you read them as well.

as for the whole "accepting on his terms" problem... I'm not worrying too much yet. My guess is that part will have something to do with him making sure you're comfortable with his preferences, and if you aren't he doesn't make you stay with him. We have been told his arc has some bdsm themes which everyone may not be comfortable with, so I'm sure they developed it this way knowing some people might not want to go through with it. I'm sure that's not going to be what the whole thing focuses on, though.

 

Both me and you are hoping for a little fluff at least, so good luck to us both haha. Bull is still my favorite male LI so far, but Dorian is really giving my feels a run. He's so charming and adorable, like an older, less naive Alistair.
