Hi everyone i just finished Iron Bulls romance and wanted to drop by and say that it was really good. I've been following this thread for a while and know there were concerns of it being just casual and having no fluff. Just wanted to say that it isn't true at all and if you want to know specifically:

Your relationship is monogamous, (he stops sleeping with the servants when you romance him), there is also slight bdsm not sure if it can be avoided but it's not bad. For reference i romanced him with a qunari male and there were two scenes. The second was hilarious!

Oh and even demons want to ride the bull haha!

There should be four possible scenes. The initiation, one where you can talk to him about the relationship and he lays everything out clearly, and two more (won't spoil in case you missed 'em). The last one has the most tenderness, though, at least IMO.

I just got Skyhold, but don't have Iron Bull's up high enough to get his personal quest yet. (probably mainly because of the last story quest I did, but I don't know if there's more) I'd like to do get it up and start his romancce before I do my next critical path quest because I'll probably have to make another goddamn decision which permanently ruins my relationship with someone. Possibly him!  (Vivienne really didn't like some of my earlier actions very much at all...)

 

So I am trying to explore and get his approval but I'm not sure where to go, exactly, to do this. I get some approval turning in random quests. I'm not sure how much more I need. I don't think he's that mad at me - he's not completely salty with me like a certain garbage Circle mage.

 

I should probably just commit to "romancing" Dorian, because he's very easy (for me) to get approval from.

 

I mean, I get what they're going for with companion approval/relationships here being kind of inflexible, but I also completely hate it? I miss friendship/rivalry from DA2. And I would take gift spam from Origins, again. If only. I should really just do the crit path quest now, and stop trying to make something happen which was clearly never meant to~~

Iron Bull enjoys being brought along on missions and fighting good fights against tough enemies. He is fairly easy to win over, as he is inclined to support you and the Inquisition regardless of most of your choices. You can impress him (or at least entertain him) by fighting Venatori forces, and he will be incredibly grateful if you kill a dragon with him in the party. You have many chances to flirt with Bull, and in almost every case, Bull appears to completely miss the fact that you are flirting with him. Stay strong!

 

It also has approval results for main story quests if you want those.

I actually did try opening up the map with Venatori enemies on it, but they're too high level for me right now so I just reloaded. I probably can't kill a dragon yet. I have the guide and can find out which decision in the next crit path will upset him - I'm just not sure which I'll want to take. (and I doubt I'll be basing my decision on this, anyway)

lol, he really does seem oblivious to flirting at first. I haven't gotten very far in the game yet but after every flirt choice I've done so far (I think 3?) he just keeps talking like nothing happened. xD Then again, the flirts are pretty subtle so that could be it. It's a nice break from... Hawke's... flirting style. *shudder*

Yeah, flirting with him is a bit odd. I'm playing as a human male and plan on committing to Dorian, but I decided I'd pursue Dorian, Cassandra, Josephine, and Bull to see how far I could get with them all. Dorian, Cassandra, and Josephine have all been much more responsive than he has. And here I thought he'd be the easy one.

As one of the Bull Riders, I'm glad to see you in the thread.  I've heard we owe your our thanks that my sturdy little dwarf will get a chance to ride that Bull.  Thank you very, very much.  Sincerely.  It really makes a giant difference for me and I appreciate it.

What would happen if I chose "Get away from me, spy!"? There is no description of what might happen unlike the other variants. I definitely want to have him in the party but my qunari Inquisitor doesn't really like Qunari if you know what I mean. So, just for RP purposes I wonder if it is possible to act extra cautious
