What would happen if I chose "Get away from me, spy!"? There is no description of what might happen unlike the other variants. I definitely want to have him in the party but my qunari Inquisitor doesn't really like Qunari if you know what I mean. So, just for RP purposes I wonder if it is possible to act extra cautious

I remember watching someone take that option, and Bull laughed it off, iirc correctly. And since he's technically not in your party by that point, you won't get disapproval.

 

That said, save before you take that option, just in case lol.

Dang, I can't wait to get into his romance. I just got Skyhold finally so hopefully it will be soon. Need to find ways to get his approval...

I allied with the mages and he didn't like it much, but my mage couldn't put her own people into servitude.  I'm hoping that's the only big disapproval hit I'll take though if I'm careful. I heard fighting dragons with him gets approval, so I'll just have to level up and go dragon hunting. xD

I'm not too ashamed to admit that I bumped the difficulty down to casual just to kill the Hinterlands dragon and get approval. I was level 13 and gave it a shot on normal, but when it was clear that it wasn't going to happen, I had no qualms about lowering the difficulty. Maybe if this was the Storm Coast dragon I might have tried again or come back later, but you have to walk so far  (without saving) to fight the one there and I knew I was not going to do that twice. Life is too short. This game is too long. (unpopular opinion? I mean, I still love it...)

 

Anyway, doing that actually gets you a lot because there's a scene afterwards where you can get some more approval bumps. 

 

But, yeah, just helping other people with their fetch quests gets you a lot of approval. In particular, I (vaguely) remember a quest with a missing scout in the southern part of the Hinterlands where you can get a few approval bumps from him.

why does he have tattoos on the romance scene? I was pretty confused (but still pleased cause tattoos are really nice). Are they part of a special armor you can get him, or just paint? Or is there just no explanation? I know he was supposed to get tattoos (at least I think so) but that would have been just lazy to leave them due to editing the model taking too much time

I think it's based on your approval with them. I got Bull and Solas' relatively early because I used them in my party, while Cassandra and Cole, whom I haven't touched, still haven't given me theirs.

Seems to be randomly, perhaps depending on your approval rating with them? Josie is another one I haven't gotten yet, along with Solas and Bull. Weird though because I've gotten lots of approval from Solas. Makes me paranoid I've missed something lol.

I think some of them don't unlock until after a certain critical path quest. I got Bull's and Solas's before doing that one, though. You do have to leave and return to Skyhold sometimes, maybe? I was surprised by how much approval I needed from IB, though. I didn't think he disliked me that much! I can't imagine what I'll need to do to get Vivienne's approval up. OTOH, I don't really care about her at this point, so whatever.

Is Iron Bull just not spawning in the tavern for anyone else? Sometimes he does and he's just gone until I leave and come back. I've taken to slowly walking towards the Tavern and his area because I think it helps. But that's probably just pure superstition. Annoying.

I think it's smart to make approval tied to who you take and not just conversations. Forces us to switch it up a bit. I was at a loss with Bull but then realized it's because he was bored.

I didn't expect his romance to give me so many feels, I'm really loving it and him! The voice actors really knocked it out of the park too.

Every time I get approval it's only 'slightly', so I think I'm building it up super slow even though I always have him with me. xP sigh... c'mon, Bull. Sera and Dorian are loyal, I need you added for my Team of awesomness.

She pretty much is! This is so infuriating, especially when he 'implies' that he's been sleeping with the tavern ladies!

 

Urgh, who's successfully initiated his romance scene? What did you do? Am I not progressing the story enough? Admittedly I haven't even gone to see Stroud yet.
