Hello! Can I ask for some help from those who have pursued IB's storyline and/or romance?

It's been at least 10h since I've left Haven for Skyhold, and ever since I've exhausted his dialogue wheel in the first go (picked 2 flirt options back there in Haven), no option to talk to him other than "Goodbye" has appeared. Is this... normal? I'm at mind that this is a bug, because I've progressed everyone's storyline & personal quests, while flirting like crazy with Josie and Dorian. Iron Bull remains unaffected tho >: He hasn't given me his personal quest either.

Should he have more conversation options once they arrive in Skyhold? Or is he just really quiet?

It's normal, me and a few others have had the same situation. There's a time where his dialogue is empty for awhile until you get a lot of approval. The easiest way is to kill a dragon, it starts up its own cutscene back at skyhold, even. After that, he had all new dialogue yet again and I could progress in the romance. :)

Thank you so much! I'll be going to kill a dragon ASAP  Need to romance him before one of my LIs get too attached... (I'm so indecisive)

The options change depending on what you do on his personal quest, it's not decided by gender. ^_^

Where does that 'amazing set of t*ts' line come from, though? xD I never got that, hahaha.

Ahh, okay, good to know!  Glad it's not gender-specific, though this has me wondering why someone would prefer the other route...

Spoiler

EDIT - Also, the "amazing set of t*ts" line happens if you have his romance instigated and you kill a dragon.  The following drinking scene (if your Quizzie participates in drinking, anyways) ends up with them being drunk and giving toasts to each other.  Bull will comment that he always wanted to tell you something, and lets loose with that line, haha.

Ah, I see now. I did that scene right before I started the romance. That sounds so hilarious though, oh well lol. I needed to kill a dragon just so I could get enough approval to start up his dialogue again. Next time I guess I shall try to get more approval beforehand so I can see that. xP

Quick question. Do you think it's hypocritical of me to like Iron Bull but dislike Tallis?

Please note that this is no way shape or form as an insult toward Felicia Day.  I appreciate Ms. Day and her work and even liked her as Veronica in Fallout: New Vegas. However, I didn't like the character of Tallis because her role as a Qunari spy seemed very unconvincing to me. However, when Iron Bull did it, it felt more persuasive to me because it seemed more, I'm not sure, 'in character' for him?

Do you agree with this sentiment or am I alone in thinking this?

I think the annoying thing about Tallis was a) she had a "can't argue with Qunari" attitude, and B) she always succeeded. Ambushed by assassins? Watch in awe as I own them! Captured by guards? No problem, lemme just pick this lock with my bare fingers. Hawke refused to help her? Whatever, I'll get the book anyway, no matter what you say and do.

So no, it's not hypocritical--I don't like her either!

Bull has a different attitude than Tallis did. I agree that he fit his role better.

I liked DA2 Tallis. A nice girl, just confused
Heck, I like her more than the Bull even though he is written much better
Plus I agreed with her views and I like the qunari

I didn't have the romance activated when I did the Empress Celene/Orlesian Ball quest, and apparently you can dance with him if you do, so there's lots to accidentally miss dependent upon when you complete each mission.  I'm doing the Solas romance at the moment and going more slowly through the main quests so I don't skip any moments; Bull was my tester run, turns out.

If you're curious, I uploaded the final romance card for Iron Bull.  It's pretty sexy:

Hi guys! This is actually my first post here, been lurking for years, and now finally posting! I wanted to talk/ask about the Iron Bull romance, to clear up some confusion I might be having. I've read the last page and I guess I have some questions for those who have finished the Bull romance. As a pre-cursor, there are going to be spoilers in this post, but I'm not sure how to do the spoiler box thing, so if you haven't been through this romance you have been warned!

So, real quick, as a gay man, this has been my favorite romance I've ever delved into in a Bioware game so far (to be fair, I never tried to romance Kaidan in ME3 because I only played it once with a female character, and I have yet to romance Dorian, saving that for the second playthrough!) and I love the Iron Bull as a character and lover for my Inquisitor (whom is also a Qunari wootwoot)! Despite that, though, I feel a bit disappointed. Was that really all there was to it? If felt so short, ill-paced, and abrupt... I think there were three major (romantic) scenes between the two of you, the first where he finally drops the bomb that he's gotten your hints of flirtations, the sex scene where Cullen, Josephine, and Cassandra walk in, and then if I'm not mistaken, the scene where you two have sex again, and talk about it a bit, and he, atleast in my playthrough, says something along the lines of "Katoh" when you express the fear of death, and he exclaims you'll make it out together, alive.

Now, don't get me wrong, as I said before, I loved this romance and Bull and he's surprisingly sweet but wild at the same time and whatnot. But... is that really the last scene you get together? I've just finished the Orlesian Ball main quest, as well as the Wardens one, but have yet to go on with Morrigan and the Eluvian, so there is still plenty more to go through I've heard, but whenever I try to talk to Bull, it's just "Goodbye" or "Kiss Him", and that's it... I received the achievement to the romance during the aforementioned scene, but at the time, I didn't think that was the end. I thought that was just a "no going back now" sort of thing, or something. I've also done plenty of quests for the Chargers, as that unlocked more dialogue for Bull earlier in the romance I think.

So, I guess my question is, is that it? To those who have beat the game or made it farther than me, do I have anything else more to look forward to with this relationship? If so, please don't spoil the details for me! If not... well, I'd have to say I'm a little let down. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I assumed this was something that would carry through the entire main quest and whatnot. So if anyone could give me some further insight, that'd be great, thanks!

I haven't finished the romance yet but there should be a final scene after you beat the game I believe, I could be wrong though.

Yeah I got to dance with him! :P get one thing miss another haha. And yes I checked it out in my game as soon as you mentioned it earlier, I love it! It really is. I hope you enjoy the Solas romance. ^_^  I'm going to attempt to try them all eventually... it might take awhile... I'll probably do a few and then give up and watch the rest on youtube.  I think I'm going for Cullen next for no other reason than I simply cannot decide, so why not try what seems like the exact opposite? xD No sexy card though for that one. Shame. lol

Wow, so funny, I was coming here to make this very same inquiry  UGHHH Looks like I have to go kill a dragon  Any tips? I'm a level 9 archer... playing on casual... cause this game is hard >.> Killing the three wyverns in Crestwood, well, let's just say, I had to draw them out one at a time. It was the only way to keep my party alive.

Level 9 might be a bit low even on casual, I'd try to level up to around 12 or 13, then try the dragon in the Hinterlands. ^_^ Try to make some good armor with fire resistance and use cold damage runes or spells because it has a weakness to cold. A mage with good barrier skills is always really helpful too.

You might also try the dragon in Crestwood. (when you've leveled up a bit) I think it's maybe 1 (?) level higher than the one in the Hinterlands but there's so much less time spent walking up towards it, unable to save. (I mean, I know they wanted the first dragon you encounter to be exciting and notable, but...)

I had the same problem but it was fixed once I finished hawke's quest, then i was able to romance him

I feel for y'all. All I had to do to get his personal quest was leave Skyhold and come straight back. I had left to get started on Solas's personal quest, then I realized I never talked to Vivienne, so I went back. Talked to Varric along the way for kicks and he had new convos, so I tried talking to everybody else, too. So yeah, it's all a matter of approval. I had two Greatly Approvals beforehand (a decision made during the templars quest path and how to handle the goat chucking barbarian). Bull and I click pretty well. I hardly ever get disapproval from him.

I finally got Bull and Skyhold yesterday, I'm loving what little I've seen of him so far and his convos with Krem are golden. I love the both of them.

I took him dragon hunting in the hinterlands and got turned to ash, I hate dragons. <_<

I was getting all slightly approves from him then one major decision earned me a greatly disapproves :( Since then, he hasn't said a word to me. I hate the approval system! Like the romances aren't gated enough.

I hope you're right! I looked at Allazor's video that he posted and I've made it to that final scene, so it doesn't look like there is anything after until the end (maybe). Atleast I know now, it was mostly the wondering that was killing me the past few days haha. Guess I'll have to headcanon more :P
